  1. List has been in the mid 8000 since December of last year. The list was posted to expire in September of this year, not July.
  2. Theres thousands of ppl remaining on the qualified list. Theres no way theyre giving all those ppl cleaner jobs. Stations Dept dont need that many CTAs. So how are they choosing who theyre calling to become CTAs out of all those people? Also, theres no such thing as max time. They always give an ESTIMATED time of expiration, that that can always be tweaked based on necessity/availability as we have all seen with various exams thats been extended time and time again due to shortage of staff and no other available list to pull from. This list is a prime example of how they can extend any list as they see fit. This list has been claimed to be expired quite a few times and evidence showed otherwise.
  3. They must establish a NEW LIST first before they move forward. No list has been established for the promotionals or the OC. Once they establish a list and everyone gets their list numbers, then theyll close and stop calling from Exam 6601. If they need any conductors btwn now and when they finally establish a new list, they will conveniently call from list 6601.
  4. Are you sure U are allowed to take the train operator promotional coming from buses? I Never heard that bus operators can promote to train op.
  5. I been trynna tell ppl on here time and time again that theres NO NEW established list so they wont close this list UNTIL another list has been established, but nobody wants to listen. They rather go with the negative comments over what makes sense. Oh well.
  6. That list hasn't been established yet. So I doubt theyll close out before they even established a list for promotional. In October I was informed by the exam unit that the letters with list numbers for C/R promotional will be sent out in 6 to 8 months. So 6 to 8 months from October would likely be April - June. Unless they sped up the process after October, I doubt any promotionals will be called b4 the spring.
  7. No you're not locked in. You will need to do final processing which can take a week or MONTHS from now, IF youre chosen to come back. At final processing you will need to be cleared 100% from medical. If anything is found that you need to do extra medical research, then theyll put u on medical hold which will also delay your final processing. That also can take weeks or months. It also depends on when or how often they need to make a TO class.
  8. Take your time. Its not a race. Pay attention to all the points of contact u have access to FIRST. Do ONE thing at a time that way U don't slip or miss a step or a handle because you're being desperate. 9/10 theyll send u to the A division if u have a hard time getting up on the B division trains which are taller than the A division trains. Trust me u can do it. You aren't the only short T/O or C/R. If they can do it, u can do it. Just take your time.
  9. Right. Which was confusing as hell on why they would do that. But yes they did have two.
  10. Definitely still a shortage. Not to mention trainees who drop out during training, they need to be replaced.
  11. There will be. The next exam Conductors have to pull from is from a Conductor promotional exam that was given last year February and an open competitive was taken not long after that. And those two exams haven't even established a list yet, and won't be establishing a list for the next few months. So u definitely have a few more months to go depending on the need of Conductors.
  12. I would personally bring those papers to 180 as soon as u can. They might be able to slip u into the upcoming class.
  13. They want u to come that way but ppl go dressed as they please honestly. Just go with something casual, don't look like u just came from playing basketball or anything. A Polo shirt, some casual jeans is fine.
  14. Fill it out at home and bring it filled out to your appt. No diff than how u did for pre employment.
  15. We will never know that answer until they officially make that announcement, which hasnt been announced. But my assumption would be that until they establish and open another list, they will continue to extend this list and exhaust it until then.
  16. You need to stop saying that. Youve given wrong info for a while now about these list extensions. Since youve first made the claim that these list were gonna expire over a year ago, hundreds have gotten hired since your original claim. I see u still havent learned not to jump to conclusions. As long as they have a need and no other list has been established to pull from, they can continue to extend the list. FYI, there is a next class.
  17. Don't let them folks who's stuck in those other depts dictate how u move. If you feel u need or want a change, go for it. I'm in a dept I want to get out of aswell, and I'm just waiting for the call just like you. Our day will come.
  18. I dont think that rule can be used in that manner. If it's for sick time, I believe they'll have to tell u that specifically. The 1/3 rule is supposed to be random.
  19. U didn't apply for that TO promotional that came out not long ago? If u did and u pass, most likely you'll get in that way.
  20. Yes thats the top pay for Conductors right now, with yearly percentage raises since the new contract was approved. May 16 2023 we got a 3% raise (Based on your hourly wage). Next May 2024 another 3%, then May of 2025 we get a 3.5% raise topping out at $38.15, then we head over to fight for new contract raises. For us thats been down here we believe we deserve a lil more, but for new hires it may be a good look.
  21. I have that from TWU, but those are all Top pay charts from contract agreement raises. But it doesnt show how you will get from Starting pay to Top pay. Since the raises took affect from the contract, the new hires get a new sheet showing their yearly increments from starting pay ($25.05) to Top pay ($35.79). So for example... the sheet will show year one $25.05, Year two $26.72, year three $27.10, and so on until u reach Top pay. They usually give that to you either when u swear in or at orientation. Alot of folks get alot of paper work given to them that they don't notice they have that paper.
