  1. That, Jackie, and East New York. They don't play
  2. Let me see that teen do that to the bus driver of that Q112. #2 is a savage
  3. That's besides the point. Do you want to spend 2 hours stuck in a tunnel in a R211? Stuck in a dark old subway tunnel in a R211 is not what people want, they want good reliable service.
  4. Just out of curiosity, when you say grew up with NTTs. What line ?(the )?
  5. Yeah, just wanted to get my point across...🤣
  6. Tell me how the was running in the 90s and how it is right now.🤣
  7. Do you want to know something. In the 1990s, We were the best subway in the world. In the 1990s, All of the trains were rebuilt and refurbished. (Or new) Trains were running fast and smoothly (before the 1995 Williamsburg Wreck and timers) And more importantly, it was reliable. Many other states and countries looked at us, and tried to make their transit system like us because we were once the very best IN THE WORLD. What defines a good Subway? To me its, Well built safe equipment. Its fast and on time. its reliable. We had that in the 1990s and the early 2000s. This was our prime. But even today, there are some aspects that we are still #. Let me break it down Do you know that we are one of few that runs 24/7? Along with Chiraq. We do https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.businessinsider.com/nyc-subway-runs-all-night-and-thats-why-its-great-2017-8 Do you who has the most Stations in the world? We do at 472. Do you know how many services (lines) we run. Washington D.C. has 6 Lines Atlanta has 4 LA has 2 Chicago has 8 London has 11 Tokyo has 13 And NEW YORK CITY 27! Get Outta here. So to answer your statement. Yeah we run R68s, but guess what? I'm writing this at 12:44 AM and almost every subway system in the world is closed. But in NYC. There is a R68 on the right now, picking up people all night long, everyday. London is sleeping, Tokyo is sleeping, hell Sweden is sleeping. But the damn Staten Island Railway is running all night, along with the entire subway system. I say with proud confidence that New York City has the Best Subway in the world (WHEN IT IS WORKING!)
  8. I don't think people "really" care about how trains look. People want quality service. The train only uses Tech trains and the is literally taking an L. Meanwhile the has been doing its thing the R62s and the works great.
  9. #1. Just look at the RTS. The Nova LFSes aren't directly replacing the RTS. But the Novas are moving the Next Gens to the depots that use RTS. So the R62s don't have to be directly replaced by the R262s. The will do fine with R142s. The R262S need to go heavily used Lexington Av line. Think about it. Does the really need R262s? The doesn't need to change. #2. The R68s are still doing its thing. And yeah they might not look that good. But keep in mind that those R68s are on heavy usage and long routes like the and . The R68s have been holding it down for over 30 years and they still have life in them. #3. It doesn't matter if the has R160s. The and are the most heavily used letter routes. And the is a 3 borough local that is using some of the oldest equipment. The can keep the R160s. But just because a train is using a car type today, doesn't mean it can't change tomorrow.
  10. This isn't a bad list but... 1st. The R262s should go to Lexington Av. The only other train that it would go to is the . So R262 , , , , and 42 St . The rest of the A division NTTs could go to the and . 2. The R211s are retiring the R32s, R42s, and R46s. So the R68s are going to still stick around for awhile. So the , , , , and Franklin should continue to use the R68s till the mid to late 2020s. 3. A few minor things. For example, the doesn't need any R211s. And the and should be 100% R211
  11. Not only that, but the has great Manhattan AND great Brooklyn ridership. Especially compared to the and .
  12. That's the point. The should have the newer equipment because of SAS.
  13. Look at it like this. When ever there is s new SBS route. MTA will put the newest artics on that new route (except S79). So since the has the newest extension (and is still going to be extended some more) it makes sense that the gets some r211s.
  14. With that said. Would it be likely to see some R68s on the Rockaway Shuttle given that the R68s will be the oldest in the fleet. The Rockaways don't need tech trains.
  15. If I was the MTA, I would run the R42s on low usage route. I think the best place for them would be on the Rockaway Park . That way you can put some R46 on the main line and the R42s can do there little Runs on the Rockaway Shuttle.
  16. 2 Things. 1. There are still not 100% to start scrapping a whole fleet. They are still fairly new and any sort of problem can easily pop up and take them all out of service. 2. Then you wouldn't have any spare equipment. If the all the R179s have to be pulled out of service for some issues. What will you have as a back up? And you have to realize that they're about 230 R32s. While there are around 200 R179s ordered. Once all the R179s come in, perhaps a few of the worst performing R32s will retire. But once the R211s come through, for sure they will be retired.
  17. Around 2020-2021 when the R211S come to and . The R211s will replace all R32s, R42s, and R46. The R46s will be replaced shortly after and the other R211 options come through. Also the R32s came through 1964. And they will push on Into the early 2020s.
  18. Why though? Was something in there or was it Gun Hill being Gun Hill.
  19. I would put a Harlem Shuttle running from 148 Street and 96 Street. This could allow the to go into the the bronx and help out Jerome, White Plains or atleast run to Grand Concourse.
  20. Harlem 148 Street, and 145 Street are 331 and 342 out of 425 Stations in terms of ridership. Honestly, I would extend the to the Bronx. And have a "Harlem " that would run from 96 Street and Harlem 148 Street. The could help out the in the Bronx, while the can just focus going exclusively to Dyre Ave. Or the can go over the at 149 Street to provide some Jerome Express. I feel that the can be better utilized other than just a alternative. The shuttle can use a 5 car R142.
  21. I read that Harlem residents wanted the station to stay open.
  22. You got a point there. I was reasoning that since Flatbush has a solid 40 RTS, Ulmer Park and MJQ were eventually fall off. Ulmer Park and MJQ have around 20 RTS, while Flatbush has 20 more than both of them.
  23. Flatbush without a doubt is gonna be the last depot with RTS. But MJQ and UP practically have the same amount of RTS. So I want to know which depot is going to scrap their RTS next.
