Hello! I was in Philadelphia this past weekend and liking the Xcelisors...I know, better get use to it.

Anyways, is there something wrong with the DE40LFRs besides their age? Rode #8410 on the 5...the "scenic" 5 route (yes I know...detour) and every few minutes, the bus would vibrate to a stop. It ran fine just the vibrate to a stop caught me off guard. Didn't notice that on the other buses. Some other observations...

    #3595? on the 124

    #3560 on the 45

    #3466 on the 125

    #3627 on the 125

    #8154, #8393, #8422, #8488 on the 15

    #3317 on the 23

By the way, those XDE40s...#3000-3524 sound similar to NYCT #9510-9559 and Suffolk Transit's XDE35 and XDE40, correct? They don't sound like the other New Flyers.

Finally, has the 99 route entering King of Prussia mall (Mall Blvd) always made the quick right turn once on Mall Blvd? I thought it followed the 123, 124 and 125 to the Transit Center of the Mall. Also, the 47 and 57 routes gave me a headache with their re-routes...UGH!

Anyways, will be returning to Philadelphia soon. Was there visiting family for the weekend!

Route 15 is where you will find older buses. If you want your last rides on the 81xx series, you better do it now. With Callowhill District now getting the new 36xx series NFXDE40s with BAEs on them, which is replacing the DE41LFs.

    3000-3524 are 2017-2021 XDE40s

    their current roster looks:

    3230-3254, 3295-3344 at Midvale (H, L, XH, 2, 4, 16, 18, 22, 23, 26, 32, 35, 47, 53, 55, 56, 57, 61, 62, 77, 80, 89)

This is a lot worse than was indicated. It wasn't just a piece that fell, it collapsed under the weight of a bus. Until that roof is load-bearing again, which could take a long time, they're going to have to do some serious rearrangements. This is not something you want to see.

The depot itself is 31 years old. It’s shouldn’t take them a long time to fix.

I wonder with Meredith going to close at least during the summer season, will Yukon Depot take back the 2400 series Prevosts that they transfered?

That remains to be seen. If that happens, the 3 depots are slated for 25 buses each since Meredith does carry 75 buses in that depot

The R142s are only about halfway through their useful lives… if we needed parts we would order them.

it’s the R46s that may need to be canibalozed for spare parts and they are doing it right now for the SIR’s R44s.

    Greetings!

The FIRST PAGE has been updated! Submitted for your approval! Enjoy!

The last MCID4500CL on the roster (3000-3474), not the last one to operate for MTABC is gone! Is one of the buses will be saved since it was the first express coach to operate new under the MTABC brand?

JFK and FR function as one depot with two yards.

Previously under Green Bus Co. Inc before the 2005 takeover by (MTA). When BC came to existence, they split the Green bus garages to 2 aforementioned depots. No need to post which bus gets transferred to where. The only difference between the 2 is that JFK houses articulated buses while Far Rockaway houses express coaches.

Has anyone else read the M5 specs from SEPTA? There are some interesting details in there.

The M5s will have offset doors, for example, and route-map displays inside (showing the next X stops and which side the doors will open), and destination displays on the front. They haven't decided the seating arrangement yet; they want the manufacturer to propose three different options. But there will be one bicycle area per car.

Sadly, they will be in married pairs with end doors; I see no mention of open gangways.

SEPTA never orders subway cars in more than 2 sets for the MFL, but it will have CBTC/ATO equipment on the operators side. Hopefully they keep the RFWs like they did with M4s.

All R211's are going to have the OPTONIX propulsion. Most of the 160's have the original three phase Alstom propulsion, a few of them have the Siemens propulsion. The option order (9803-9942) was supposed to have the Siemens propulsion, but it got the original three phase Alstom propulsion instead.

    R160s 8843-9102 have the Siemens.

All Alstom built 8313-8712 & 9233-9802 & 9943-9974 and Kawasaki 8713-8842, 9103-9232 & 9803-9942 have the Alstom version and can intermix with each other.

R211s, as you mentioned have that never seen before Alstom Optionix, which is brand spanking new.

I wish the next round of orders will have the classic propulsion {similar to the IRT SMEES before the Redbird rebuilds} OR the Triple Metals (R38, R40 & R42) propulsion of the late 60s.

I think someone saw the r211 (A) to Rockaway park recently, I think they're going to move the 8 car R179's out of pitkin/207th to another yard first.

Rush hour (A) trains operate to Rock Park. The R179s are going nowhere

Some groups on the Book have flat out deleted such posts too admins have kicked out the posters too..

Yet people still are mad like "Freedom of speech"..

I mean a post of somebody doing something stupid get thousand likes yet someone doing something positive gets a handful...

Shows how braindead some folks are by glorifying dumb stunts like that...

There are such groups that are watching what posts like these and then when it’s too sensitive, ppl be yelling that, but what they’re also doing is promoting criminal behavior. You remember J31?

oh please , that is a very valid reason to farebeat , nobody is about to sit here for attempt a bunch of work arounds if their metrocard or OMNY isn’t working. If my train is coming , my train is coming 😂 and the last part of your statement is full of shit too, the average rider whether they pay their fare or not , they’re not doing all that extra shit , we’re all just tryna get from point a to point b. Now no doubt , im not putting farebeating past those ppl doing all that other stuff but let’s not blame everyone for the choices of a select few

Ok. Don’t say a thing if a street clothes person pulls out a badge and takes you to an enclosed room and ask you questions on why you didn’t pay your fare and you better come up with a straight laced answer. So take them words back. Because what I say is good because even getting busted for farebeating is on your record for 7 years.
