  1. These newbies lack the speed of the classics. The different fleets gave some lines their own identity
  2. What sucks about SBS routes is that its guaranteed to be a low floor shitcan. Those buses suck compared to the classics.

  4. People complaining about the R32s and 46s, while these boring looking 142s and such can suck the fun out of riding the subway. I still miss those sexy Redbirds
  5. I think many Riverdalians don't even know about the BxM3. A lot of them think the BxM1 and 2 are the only two routes in Riverdale. As for the BxM4. there's no need for it to make half those stops on the Concourse. The express buses aren't meant to serve the hood. Maybe extend that route further into Yonkers along Kimball Ave and cut out some Concourse stops.
  6. once and for all, let's implement a new QM9 express route, as a Wall St variant of the QM2. Maybe even add a QM19 for the QM20
  7. Something needs to be done to the BxM3 and BxM4 to increase ridership on each route.
  8. Does anyone remember back in the hey day of the 90s, the Bx41 literally went from end to end of the Bronx. Oh how times have changed
  9. This modernizing of the fleet doesnt make the buses more comfortable to ride. In fact, these low floors are not as roomy, and they have terrible suspensions. Also sucks the fun and enjoyment out of riding a New York City bus
  10. What are the demographics of the QM24/25/34 riders?
  11. those QM21's always looked nice, and well maintained. Queens Surface and Triboro had most of their buses in better areas of Queens than Green Lines so that may have factored in with better service. The Green Lines express routes were very well used though
  12. If anyone didnt know about this, the 23rd anniversary of the LIRR shooting just passed.
  13. We need to start a new movement of bringing high floor buses back to the MTA. Make them a new trend again. Make the MTA Great Again
  14. O5's could move, really kill it, and you could hear the power. But the MCI Classics were faster I think. Riding buses in Bklyn and Queens seemed very enjoyable back then, and from my experience as a young kid from the Bronx it was great riding those private lines. If I remember correctly though, Green had more problems than the others with their buses
  15. I know Green didnt have CNG's. Just mainly RTS's and MCI Classics. I tell you though, those buses were speed demons on the highways. O5 CNG's just had the best sound ever. Some private lines were better than others though.
  16. better yet, those express routes were more enjoyable when they ran MCI Classics and Orion V CNG's under Green Lines, Triboro and Queens Surface.
  17. I agree completely. The renumbering was pathetic. No need to create more confusion. Just go back to the way it was QM1A, QM2A, QM4, QM10, QM12, QM24 QM24W
  18. QM2 & 20 need Wall St variants. QM9 & 19 sound good. QM20 also needs Saturday service
  19. could the QM3 use a Wall Street variant? I think the Wall St route would get more ridership
  20. these low floors they create today sound weak and bounce around too much
  21. Those CNG's with Queens Surface, Triboro and Command had a nice moan to them. They were fun to ride. The old GMC's of Green Lines and Triboro had the great roar from the engine. Also lets not forget the great MCI Classics, those babies were speeding bullets. Those private lines were fun to ride, and they sounded like real buses unlike these fancy low floor hybrid neon orange signs that sound like powerless paper shredders
  22. I wish the private bus companies of Brooklyn and Queens were still around.
  23. There wasnt anything fast about the BQE whatsoever lol.
