Definitely mikeems1, I think we're gonna be alright. We're gonna make it, trust me. The Promotional Exam for Train Operator is January 9th 2016. And by the time they grade those test and establish the list, it ain't gonna be till around maybe next spring or summer. And our list expires until September 2016.

Hey Mikeems1, I'm pretty sure they're gonna reach our name in a few weeks. Maybe by the end of the year. That list goes very quick. My friend got hired in May and his list number was 3483 and that was just in May. 3 months go by and they're up to the 4100's, that's 700 names they went thru in 3 months. That's just to show you that we have a chance, don't loose hopes. By the time they start hiring from the Promocional exam we will hopefully be in School Car for Train Operator. Let's keep out fingers crossed.

School Car for T/O involves a total of about 9 months all together.

R goes from 71st Ave/Continental Ave in Queens to Bay Ridge/59st in Brooklyn. Goes local in Queens/Manhattan and Brooklyn. Sorry, Bay Ridge/95th St in Brooklyn****

You're welcome tprashad0719. As far as I know, they are hiring 40 Train Operators each month for the rest of the calender year. A division consist of working the Number trains (1-7). B division consist of working the letter trains. (A-Z). However sometimes they might have a certain need on either division and you have no option than to accept wherever they assign you. Most of the time they ask you what division you prefer to work at. Or sometimes they might say that they need 20 Train Operators for the A division and 20 Train Operators for the B division. You will be called upfront to decide based on seniority on the list number you're assigned to. If you live near the F line or the R line or any letter train, you'll be best working the B division. If you live uptown or in the Bronx, you're better of working the A division beign that most jobs on the number trains start at the uptown section of Manhattan and The Bronx.

Hi there, does anybody know which list number was the last to get hired? I'm 4624, and I'm truly amazed on how quick they're going through that list. Just last year around November they were up to 2800's. My friend got hired on May and he is 3485 (I believe ) and 3 months later there already in the high 3800's.? So they went through 400 names in 3 months. I really hope they reach me. List expires September 2016.
