  1. I guess those were happier days when the budget wasn't full of hot air... They simply don't have the innovative backbone they once had... If any of you clean up at 3 AM at Herald Square, 145 St - St Nick, and Woodside-61, does it seem to worsen after each clean? I dunno, but as a custodian who's handled my fair share of muck, that is MENTAL ABUSE. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  2. That explains why some MTA buses have depots at the Yonkers waterfront. Of course, when Bee-Line buses call it quits on Turkey day & Xmas, the BxM3 is a welcome sight for sore eyes. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  3. It's why I'm here[emoji4] Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks. You confirmed my suspicions. I figured those PT trains were R46 cars after all. For such old cars, why do thy have displays but the R68A's don't? Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk I took a picture of one at Bay Pkwy earlier this year. It was one of my Google+ cover photos. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  5. The R46. Used by the , some peak to Kings Hwy or 2 Av - Houston, and the ? Alright. I know the difference now. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  6. Isn't MTA bus the tall coaches? There are still fragmentations in ownership? I know there was decades ago...but aren't the Bx & Q both NYCT routes? Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  7. They don't? Then what are those cars used by the ? They seem more spatial than the R68A, but what are they? Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  8. You notice too? They wobble as they exit the station, especially trains. And they're talking tens...the nerve[emoji34] Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  9. Maybe I don't notice it because I arrive with little headway. Or because I ride suburban transit. Or because during #Blizzard2016, it was top train instead of the . Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  10. Not necessarily faster, but higher priority. service isn't fixed like the . And service finishes a few stops sooner than the . Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  11. How thoughtful. Your archiving skills are impressive...???? Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk

  13. Expecting reliable service on Queens Boulevard is a mistake. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  14. "Free transfers at other locations" is a proximity reference and does not do well in explaining the intent of my post. Falsehoods? You can't amend or deescalate a situation when you're being accusatory. And if I made falsehoods, I have taken the time to acknowledge & apologize for them. Forums exist as a way to convey & verify information. If anything I do say is false, of course I'll take the time to comb through. You should note that I start my content offline and make edits to be sure I'm citing the right sources BEFORE I publish it. That way falsehoods are less likely. I don't like clutter, so causing clutter doesn't sit well with me. I apologize anyway for irritating you, but those remarks need to be stated to a Moderator, not me. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk Come to think of it, my suggestion doesn't seem to be at odds, not for possibility, but rather, how many would utilize it. As the fare goes up and station platforms become note crowded, I utilize these to get to the same station on a different and less crowded platform. Many riders mindlessly make errors without considering their surroundings. Many riders are also misinformed or simply inept. You're probably right. What isn't said, isn't done. Then I'll just stick to what I do best and leave them behind. It pays to pay attention. [emoji6] Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  15. Usually the or are only routed on the Express track if there's an issue. It seems the MTA only assesses it's options when there IS an issue, rather than beforehand. It doesn't matter how many repairs personnel & contractors complete. Without preestablished practice things will always fall apart. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  16. You really don't get it. IT'S NOT ABOUT PROXIMITY. PLEASE STOP COMPARING STATIONS BY DISTANCE. Only Systems. Please understand congestion is a real issue and my suggestions give alternatives to those who do not want to cluster at the same platform. In case you didn't notice, Fulton St doesn't say it Xfers to the . That's because it's technically a different station. I'm suggesting the OOST because it benefits riders who wish to Xfer to or from the without paying again. My post addressed ULR users. But those would benefit PPR users immensely. If you can do it for the Lex Pair, which you have to walk outside for, it is trivial nonsense NOT to include both ends of Fulton Center, which are INSIDE. And as I stated, 80% of suggested walk by's are less walking than the Lex Pair. Maybe I'll use that virtual map and illustrate it later this year. And when the fare goes up we make it only harder for transit to be attractive and affordable. Talks are already underway. All this hardship and the MTA couldn't give [emoji90] [emoji90] 's. 17. I mentioned the Cortlandt - Fulton connector earlier. We already have the Lex Pair. The stations literally snub noses even CLOSER than the Lex Pair. Why isn't it possible to program OOST? Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk I mentioned numerous OOSTs in a thread I started in Off Topic. And 80% of them are easier walking than the Lex Pair...[emoji53] Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  18. No, the other way around and not necessarily tied to peak like the or . More of an expedite rather than a regularity. It failed before huh? Dear God does anything ever succeed? Transit is only a nightmare down here... [emoji29] Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  19. I agree with more. But I'd like to know something- why can't the be express in all the boroughs it operates in, at least weekdays? Astoria has an express track and I wish it was used for more than just desperate measures. trains would terminate sooner meaning those trains would be more readily available. And as for an M23 and Q70 SBS, please note we already have LTD service for the Q70, plus it's already recognizable to riders Xferring to LaGuardia (your campaign after you took the job from the Q33 plus most subway Xfer lines include it too. 20. I've seen them on some [R46] trains too. I figured they had similar intent to the purple ones on R68As but slightly different. While PATH cars, to me, look like more colorful versions of R160 cars, they seem to hit design cues akin to MetroNorth. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  21. PATH is preparing to shut down all weekend operations on Sixth Ave for "Federally Mandated Repairs" that will continue through 2019. You got Wednesday's MetroNY paper right? Page 15. Additional service will be provided at World Trade Center. PATH will cross honor tickets until 10 AM and they must be issued by PANYNJ agents or you won't be allowed to board. Shuttle buses are available at 29th St & 6th Ave. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  22. I've noticed that. Gross. It's compounded by passengers opening windows as we speed through dank & smelly tunnels. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  23. And once upon a time wasn't it called Lincoln Road? There's a sign adjacent to the overpass facing Lincoln Road... Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  24. Somebody mentioned speakeasy on buses due to a lack of clever devices (which you can be certain your suburban partners are fully decked with) but why not pre-record and pin? Your speakeasy devices can point with a GPS right? How else can you be tracked? Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
  25. Really? They age gracefully. And subway cars are built to take beatings, but customer abuse will indeed force those R68A's to an early grave at the bottom of the ocean. I'm not concerned as much about age as I'm about care. Those stickers blissfully wasted on the Midtown Shuttle would breathe some aesthetic life into those cars. I'm aware they were bought metallized to discourage graffiti but ironically still have scratchiti. Decals are cheaper then a buff job. Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk It's been a while since I entered Spring Valley. They must've finally replaced the crustbuckets with those Kelly Green beauties... Sent from my m8 using Tapatalk
