  1. Depends. A lot of people got both together, but probably only because they were the first ones. But no, you don't get both together.
  2. Train Operator should not be an open-competitive position. Should only be a promotion from conductor.
  3. I feel the same way. Love my job and respect the company. Hope I can give 2 weeks notice.
  4. Yes if you failed, you're out. I'm sure you did fine. Took about 6 months to get results.
  5. I believe he's in the 520's. It doesn't look like the sent OPAs and preemployment in order. But don't worry too much about it yet, they definitely put people in classes by list number. I'm sure you'll get your OPA soon.
  6. Really surprised how pressed they are to hire so many C/Rs and T/Os. Especially considering that the list for exam 8094 was extended for a couple of years.
  7. When you get the packet they refer to as "homework" at the preemployment, the packet says you MUST disclose everything unless it is SEALED or EXPUNGED. Now, I personally did disclose a misdemeanor that I had from 6 years ago, even though it is sealed, because I would much rather play it safe and be honest about it, since they will not disqualify you over minor crimes (or even most major crimes). My advice: definitely tell them about the misdemeanor, and before you even go to the MTA for preemployment (assuming you get called), go to the criminal court where you had your case, and get disposition. When you disclose your misdemeanor, they will ask you for a disposition, and that's it, no harm done. Better to play it safe and be honest. Your chances will not be hurt at all because you have a misdemeanor from 10 years ago.
  8. It's the "last appointed" number according to the DCAS automated system.
  9. I thought the exact same thing. I just expected that if we were going to be in the June class, we would have had more time to give notice at work. Also, I'm guessing the "342" number includes those who are already in the June class (either didn't fit in the April class, got put on medical hold, etc). Again, just a guess.
  10. Hey thanks for the update. My guess is that the June 4 is filled already. I doubt they would call people less than a week before the class starts for medical. Would be messed up on their part (considering they tell people not to quit their present job until they have an official offer). On to the July class we go.
  11. I agree. I would really pay a flight (even if its just 1 night) to take that OPA. You have a GREAT chance at this job, really soon too.
  12. Yeah the lady there (Emma Rivera) stated that most of us should be in June or July class.
  13. Damn that's good lol. Make me considering doing everything possible to get the graveyard shift if I get the job.
  14. I've read people on here saying that there is no weekend differential, but on the notice of examination it does say that there is both night and weekend differential. Anybody in transit know if there is in fact weekend differential. If so, how much?
  15. Why don't you call them and see if they could resend your OPA invite (which I'm sure they sent, you just probably didn't receive), then fly over here for 1 day just for the exam? Then once they reach your list number, just defer your preemployment until next year? But dude, definitely try to take that OPA, because I've never heard of someone deferring an OPA. Even if it means flying out here for just 1 day for the exam, try to make the sacrifice.
  16. No idea. I've been trying to figure it out myself as I'm still waiting for my medical. From what I can see in this forum, around 500, but that's just guessing.
  17. Around 3500 for OPA, around 1500 for preemployment. Moving pretty quick.
  18. Haven't heard of anybody in here in the June 4 class. Anybody?
