I left CP in 2015 to come to LGA so I've driven all LGA's routes and I think that Q19 and Q23 won't pay as much as Q53 did for CP drivers. Not to mention Q53 has a lot of traffic (drivers make money), bathrooms on both ends and places to eat. Q19 has Astoria projects basically nothing there. and just main st. Q23 is even worse, crescent apartments is weird last stop, because passengers get on at woodhaven and metropolitan by Wendy's to go back to to continental ave & corona and some give trouble to get off. Some dispatchers have told me to keep them on bus even during layover. Bathroom restrictions suck at union tpke apartments, because you have to cross the street and weird spot for bus stop by garage door entrance, also at 102nd and ditmars no place to eat, just Marriott for bathroom. I notice Q23 has more detours as well. I wonder is it MTA ruling only on route swaps, or does union negotiate on trade? I know CP drivers are going to have a field day on the q23 just because of that end of line dilemma south bound . All CP routes have last stop, they're not used to that. I may end up going back to CP, because I liked it there, but I'll see what happens. Any other route swaps in MTA bus you guys hearing?
