  1. So, once again, for clarification purposes: How is it that lower list numbers in the 39's and 40's are being called before higher ones. Mine is mid 36xx but no e-mail as of yet. it also appears on the official list under cert expiration date is April 7. What does that mean? Certification sequence number is 697...whatever that also means...
  2. Forgot to mention that right after I received the text message on my phone, I received an automated home phone call from, what I am assuming was, NYCT or the MTA. When I answered it, the voice said "...application error...we apologize". So, not exactly sure if that means they made a mistake in reaching out to me or not but....time will tell if I get the e-mail or not. Best of luck to everyone else!
  3. Just received the exact same text message from them as well. But no e-mail yet. I have been out of the loop on this website and this thread for quite some time now as I had figured that the list would probably be expired by the time that they had gotten around to my number. I really do not even recall what my number is at this point in time to be honest but I would certainly be interested in going for the position if it is still available. But no e-mail yet. Can anyone speak about this, and bring me up to date? Thanks! Edit update: (list number is 360*)
  4. In case you guys want a real lol, I am sitting on the list at 3,6xx... I am 40 years old: So IF I do get called, I imagine that it would not be for about another 2.5-3 years. I scored an 86.667 on the test. If I am lucky, the list will not be expired by the time that they get down to me. Best of luck to all of you now who are going through the process. ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”
  5. Just an update: Still receiving invitations to start the pre-employment process for this job. Recently received a third invitation! This time via 3 of the same text messages, which were then followed by 3 subsequent consecutive automated phone calls by a female voice echoing the same words as was in the text messages. Basically to report to 180 Livingston St in Brooklyn between today and this Friday as my number has been reached on the list ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ... With myself still residing here in SE Massachusetts, I thought that after having to decide to decline the position 2x previously that they would have just moved on with the list by now...? I figure that eventually they will, but maybe this is a greater sign here...who knows? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” Does anyone know what the story is at the MTA with regards to this Exam? Are they still in need of bodies for the L train shutdown thing, or has that been resolved? Just wondering what the story is. I bet this would never happen with the T/O #7604 list that I also took that I am waiting for. That one will be a looong wait..*sigh*
  6. Thank You so much Young ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Interesting thing that has happened to me as I have been following this forum. Took and passed the BOSS exam on 10/23/17. Received a pre-employment packet back in June but had to decline back then, and so figured that since being the case, my number of 88.0000 would essentially be removed from the list. Incredibly though, I just received a letter in the mail today to report to Livingston St THIS Monday the 10th and 7:30AM!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ, like whoa! Talk about short notice!! Keep in mind, that I still reside in SE Massachusetts so I am going to have to make a decision REAL quick about this. As in. Today! So, what do you think that the reason could be behind this? Thoughts appreciated. Happy Holidays!!
  7. I had to decline the position myself, I could not make it to Brooklyn to do the pre-employment process due to family matters back here in MA, but I am wondering how everyone else made out? I took the BOSS in October last year, passed and then got the pre-employment packet this past summer. I would like to somehow get reinstated but I doubt that will happen. I was actually #88 too. Ah well...Good Luck to everyone else. I will be peeking in here to see how you all are making out.
  8. Starr, Good luck to you and your co-worker at #4 who is going in tomorrow. I am number #88 so I can only imagine that down at 180 Livingston Street, it will be packed. I read somewhere else that this could actually take all day long. On top of that, I actually live in SE Massachusetts so I am still undecided about leaving my house at 2:00A in order to try and get there by 7:30A,but then again, where I have already had my CDL for quite some time now and have experience with coach bus driving and line runs, etc, etc, I have always wanted to move to NYC, and work for the MTA. I believe that you are correct though that they probably have just started to hire off of #7300 this month. Beyond the pay itself, which, after the 4 years of service when they bump you up to the $29.9550, that actually pays more than some federal service jobs top out at (i.e., Post Office), I am unfamiliar with any of the other benefits offered by the MTA Bus Company. If that is true about this #7300 exam mainly hiring for the depots in Yonkers, Eastchester and the Bronx, well that suits me just dandy! Actually though, to be quite honest, I would have a preference for the Yonkers depot myself. But beggars cannot be choosers, but it would be nice. I believe that is where a lot of the x-press routes are out of IIRC.
  9. Congrats Mr. New Flyer Sir. I am the day before you on the 14th at 7:30A. Best of luck in the employment process!
  10. I have received my letter in the mail today to come in for pre-employment processing for Bus Operator from list #7300 on June 14 at 7:30A. So, yes to answer your question, they have started the hiring process for people who have passed the BOSS-exam from this list. Good luck!
  11. Not 8000. 88. As in my list number was/is eighty eight. Pretty low random number that I got, yes.
  12. Well, I finally also got my letter in the mail and I passed the BOSS-exam from 10/23/2017 ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š.. my list number is very low actually being 88.. It says that as positions become available, then based upon your random list number, you will then be called in for pre-employment processing further. If anyone can speak to with my list number being as low as it is, how long it might be, feel free to enlighten me. I am just so relieved to finally find out that I did indeed pass the BOSS.
  13. Man, this IS exciting lol...but I would like to take the time to point something out that may matter, or it may not matter as far as our exam scores are concerned. Back in 2009, when the other exam was given, (#8098 I believe), some 11,000 people were listed as having passing scores if I recall the article correctly. Someone may have the link to it on here, or you can just Google search it. So, just for fun, what I elected to do is take my number and score and compare it with the score of the person named on 8098's list. As it turns out, they scored 4 points give or take higher than I did. So, while it may not make too much of a difference with wait time to get called, I feel that my odds of actually getting called have gone up ten fold. It was just something interesting to compare or contrast with - the last exam. They exhausted that list also if I am correct. So, one could argue in a strange sense that I got a 90 lol ๐Ÿ˜‚..
  14. Well, I got my letter in the mail today from MTA/NYCT. My anticipated list number is, what I would consider, high. I say anticipated because the letter specifically states that the list will be established in July. My number is between #3580-#3590. Is this a bad number? ๐Ÿคจ Thanks..
