  1. Ah I see, thanks. I recently got back from D.C on a flight to Westchester County Airport. The flight got in roughly ~15 minutes before the W12 bus comes to White Plains. The whole process went smooth, and among the almost fully booked flight, mostly everyone was heading to White Plains, yet only me and 4 other people actually got on the bus. The bus stop area isn't well designated, and I asked around while waiting for the bus and half the people didn't know there even was a bus to White Plains. Which makes me think, could the reason the Airlink and the W12 itself failed is because no one knows it even exists?
  2. I also don't know if this was an error on their part, but between the 2022 and 2023 re-design they cut back the 19 from Katonah to Chappaqua, which itself is insane because the 19 actually carries along that portion. At that point, they should have just left the 6 designation for that portion of the 19.
  3. I've been re-reading some of the redesign, and I can't fathom for the life of me why the 15 does this ridiculous loop in Yorktown...
  4. I genuinely don't know how you don't get irritated with all these questions. I see some conductors just flat out ignore people and continue their safety duties.
  5. It didn’t catch on fire, the fire suppression system just went off.
  6. Why would the union be against it? It’s more jobs for their workforce.
  7. I would give it until the end of April. PTLA was suppose to get new XDE35's last month (some of the XDE35's had their DOT number) and then it was switched last minute. Maybe their garage is getting upgrades, idk.
  8. So it has been confirmed that the BxM4c will be operated by any 400-500 series bus once all the Orion V suburban buses are gone.
  9. I would add special city-only Harlem Line trains between Grand Central and Wakefield. However, the issue with this is wakefield is only 4 cars, so you would have to either run these city services with four cars at all times, or start southbound service at Mount Vernon West.
  10. Why is NJT's data feed the only one in the region that we can't search specific buses on Transee?
  11. I just took a look at the 355/356 schedule. The 356 is still (unsurprisingly) suspended. At this point, is it even going to come back? It's been gone for the last 4 years. The 355 schedule makes no sense. Only TWO trips on weekdays and they leave to AD at 10 and 12:30? And yet weekend service has 15 trips? How is the ridership on this route?
  12. 124 is scheduled to go to PTLA in the near future. The person who’s reporting it in a discord server is credible but needs to be more informative with when moves happen.
  13. The people in Queens would like a word with you. Local service on Queens Blvd has been abysmal with the lack of the . Hundreds of people having been demanding the to restore the in it's place just because of how bad it is over there.
  14. I’m curious to see if the city funds the city part services of MNR how would the timetable restructuring look like.
  15. 1896-1990 is coming back in service, except all of its side rollsign boxes are now stickers.
  16. Oh boy. I can't tell you the amount of times I try to enforce something and I get immediately screamed at, or someone threatens to harm me. Point is, needs to do something about this, agency wide. We shouldn't have to be defending ourselves for doing our jobs. Have more police presence, speed up response times, and actually enforce the #1 which causes most of these problems in the first place, which is farebeating.
  17. I heard that Kawasaki dropped out because of issues with LIRR, but without Kawasaki who else is qualified to build the cars? Alstom?
  18. But it also doesn't help when conductors on LIRR are getting screamed at or hit with their own printers for trying to enforce even the slightest of rules, or when bus drivers have to fend off attackers with knives...
  19. Vape??? They smoke weed, crack, etc and whenever used to complain to NYCT on WhatsApp they say they would send someone and never do.
  20. I meant to say before 2008. And that incident is exactly why the authority should have beefed up security and police responses on board their buses.
  21. When I was a driver I was one of the very few that actually enforced the fare. It seems nowadays fare beating is considered the norm and trying to enforce it automatically turns into backlash from passengers or from your managers. Which sucks, because it was never this bad 10-15 years ago. Hell, every time puts out a “please pay your fare” PR message on social media, they get a shit ton of hate replies demeaning them for…enforcing the rule? I truly do hope upsizes the eagle team drastically and this new DA actually prosecutes fare beating with a hefty fine.
  22. These cars were ill advised from the start. I wouldn’t be surprised if they convert them into A units, put them on the Rock or just retire them.
  23. I think it’s time we discuss the negative aspects of CBTC when it comes to planned work and emergency reroutes. There has been an issue on Astoria or the 60th St tubes probably 10 times in the last month, and because the and use SMEE equipment and aren’t compatible with QBL CBTC, this causes such unnecessary congestion with trains backing up because they can’t even relay them at Queens Plaza or send them to Forest Hills. This is going to be another major issue once 8th Av CBTC is online, for the same reason.
  24. Can't they just shut the whole line down for a week when ridership is at it's lowest to accelerate these changes?
