Totally random but is anyone else a fan of the Alstom R160’s?

Hey man I can’t help it. It’s just a coping mechanism to promote happiness I need something else to to think about from time to time. There’s other things I can think about but I don’t want to think about them all the time so I think about trains sometimes. I feel like the transit community is so judgmental.

Totally random but ever since some personal things happened, my perception and taste in the subway fleet changed a little bit. I’ve been daydreaming about the subway my whole life as a coping mechanism to handle boring moments in my day. Also because randomly thinking about it puts me in a good mood. However, I find myself daydreaming about two fictional lines I made up like 15 years ago instead of most of the lines that exists in real life. Also R46’s are my primary favorite cars but I find myself daydreaming about the R160’s more (even if they make a lot of noise when they break) I love the Alstom Propulsion the most. I can’t help it. I use to love the Siemens Propulsion but now I’m numb to it. But I’m not complaining. The only thing I wish I still had was enough motivation to take out my camera while I’m on the subway and fan on a normal day. Especially on a R46. The 211’s are gonna be in service soon so I gotta stop being lazy and record some 46’s before they start retiring lol. That’s all

So the train was delayed this morning around 8AM because of NYPD activity at Grand Street. Waited for 30 mins at Broadway Junction then left the station. Unfortunately the showed up after I left the station so I had to take the B60 bus at Fulton and Rockaway to go to my clinic. I just hope the isn’t delayed like that again. Especially around this time. It’s too cold to wait on a elevated subway platform 30 mins for a train.

Hey guys. Haven't been active on the forums for a while. A lot has happened in the last three years and I didn't have the drive to stay active in the hobby. But I'm back and I'll be posting occasionally on the subway and bus threads. In the meantime, I had a really crazy idea. I love the R160's for the announcements, door chimes, speed and design. But the red route display gets boring sometimes and makes me miss subway cars that have (or had) the official bullet of routes on the face of the train. So I customized two photos of R160's on the and lines to include the official route letter on the face of the train rather than the red one. Much like the R211's are planned to be built in the near future. I kept the overall black front of the train but added two windows and replaced the red route letter with destination info. Hope this makes your Friday afternoon lol

what’s the SIM program about?

3625 from LGA has really loud breaks. I heard it coming the down the street in LIC and almost thought it was some kind of truck. I guess most of the Orion breaks have the same affect as they get older similar to the Orion V’s.

The RTS’s are producing really bad air pollution. I haven’t ridden one in a while but I was able to smell and taste the air from 5204 while I was in the front boarding today. I def. recommend staying away from RTS’s unless you’re commute on one.

It’s Monday and I’m on another 4 car R46 G train. I guess the G is using equipment from CI and JAM for a while.

Where are the 4 car R46’s coming from for the G service change?

The B41 extension to Sheapshead Bay is already a bad idea. The ratio of buses terminating at Knapp Street to buses ending at Kings Plaza are way off. I needed to get to Flatbush and Avenue U and I had to wait while ten Knapp Street bound buses passed before one to KP showed up. And the trips to Knapp Street are out of Jackie Gleason depot...
