Not a fan either. The current white with blue trim is iconic and recognizable, the new design is busy and looks like a private bus company.
-
Is "blue with swishy lines" going to be the new design of the MTA?
-
Ah, I see the differentiation on the map. I have to look for LIMITED on the bus display thing then.

Thanks! Next question: I'm planning a trip and one site is telling that the B41 to downtown Brooklyn makes 5 stops and others are saying that it makes 14. Does that mean there are different schedule buses on the same route, and if yes how do I tell them apart?

Why do SBS buses have that odd raised seat behind the driver?

Wow, I didn't know bus transportation could be this exciting! ???? -
I hadn't known busses had bike racks until I saw a rider taking his off at a stop a few days ago, I thought that was pretty cool. How many bikes can they carry at once?

What is citywide ferry service?

Every time I use the forums on PC it works for a few minutes, and then clicking any link causes the "the connection has timed out" error in my browser. I have to stop using the forum for some indeterminate amount of time before it starts working again for a few minutes. It's a pretty weird and annoying problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where do you draw the line in railfanning?
Kraps replied to Lawrence St's topic in New York City Subway
It should be treated like any other hobby, some people prefer to do theirs at the expense of other responsibilities, including me. -
This is great, thanks!

Where can I find a list of bus models with pics?

Any advice for a wheelchair user wary of using the subway?
Kraps replied to Kraps's topic in New York City Subway
There is an accessible station fairly near where I live in Kensington, and I've been thinking about taking the train to Jay St and then the bus into Williamsburg where I work, and the reverse going back. I also looked at routes to Cornell where my doctors are. I've gotten pretty good at figuring out routes (read: using map apps) so I probably wouldn't be totally lost if a destination station had a broken elevator, it just worries me and is not a good feeling. -
MTA's On-board Audio/Visual Test & Evaluation

No disagreement there. If we had to list all the things the MTA should have been doing a long time ago we could be here all week. -

While I'm eager to see this system on the busses, wouldn't stop announcements get annoying when they're every 2-3 blocks? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
