I am posting this in the Bus Random Thoughts thread, because it’s kind of a interesting matter which is difficult to categorize, but in terms of COVID-19 prevention I downloaded the NY COVID Alert app and one of the recommendations was to avoid public transportation which includes Subways, Buses, Taxis, etc... if the person has to go out for a Medical Check up, my question is how do they recommend those people get to their appointments, it just seems so vague for the low-income residents who have no other option to get around.

I've been using it so far on the Bus and Subway. Much more quicker and convenient to use, haven't looked back since I began. For the record 6069 had a malfunctioning OMNY Reader, it was stuck on GO when I attempted to tap.

I do understand that funding is critical right now for everyone, including the which itself is facing a 16 Billion Hole. Obviously we are dealing with an issue in Washington involving Senate Republicans refusing to make any concessions, compromises or take a bi-partisan approach to help out, but the reality is that isn't the only Transit Agency in this country facing an economic Katrina, MBTA's also facing their 500 Million shortfall as well as other Transit Agencies around the country. As much as I disagree with shutting down the subways from 1 AM to 5 AM for "cleaning/disinfecting" it is criminal how FEMA has ripped away reimbursements for Transit Agencies and Schools to have robust disinfecting and provide PPE. This event @Via Garibaldi 8 is holding will be important as it will be a message to DC that NY needs a robust transit system. The President and the Senate Republicans should be held accountable this Election season and they have to remember that they work for us, not for corporate PAC's. If they show this unwillingness to work together to save this country's basic functions we as constituents on Election Day have to show that in the same manner that we voted them in to office, we can easily vote them out. Now I have requested my Absentee Ballot for this upcoming Election and I will be voting for Biden in this Election, but honestly we shouldn't be going after people on here for voting for Trump or Republicans in general, if there is anything that should be learned in these past 4 years is that, regardless on how you feel about it, there will be people that will continue to support and vote for Trump and that is something one person won't and can't change. Now I understand and agree with your points @MHV9218 but as an advocacy group it is best for @Via Garibaldi 8 to maintain a neutral approach for the sake of being respectful to members who are part of the group, because in most cases, especially in our current political climate there will be a need to work with Officials on both sides of the Isle. That is my 2 cents on this topic.

Based on my personal observations and those of others I assume all Manhattan Buses have them, but I am waiting for an official statement from Transit that ALL MANHATTAN BUSES have them active. So you'd expect to see the changes reflected on August 31st.

The Bx7 actually hasn't been running for the past 2 nights. So Idk what type of coverage they got up there, because neither the M100 runs at that time.

I don't recall if that unit had those LED Headlights when it was at Grand. I do know 4562 has had them for a few years.

Yeah, nowadays the same respect that people used to have no longer exists. For some reason people think that they are entitled to critique what other people do with their own lives, but at the end of the day, why should I care? They don't pay my bills, they don't feed me, and they don't benefit me in any way, so f*ck them. It's so easy to yap about it, but how about actually doing it for a change? Many of these people really live with the ignorance in their brains, but tell you that you are f*cked the hell over when you act this way, because you got people who are so full of Jesus that they think that they don't got to listen to no one about anything since they self-proclaim their overly sanctified self as f*cking saints, but gtfo with that bullshit, some people just need to wake up and smell the coffee. Many of these people never appreciate what public servants do and always take it for granted.
