My last thing on the complaining stuff, this thread wasn’t started for that lol, it was to give information on the process of getting into transit and to track the process on which numbers were being called! I just had a student who literally just came back! So he was called, but because he wasn’t gonna get weekends off he left! Resigned. Then boom, he reinstated his name and came back. Lost 2 years on his seniority over nonsense smh lol, nothing to do with operating, equipment, just because he thought coming into a seniority based job he was gonna get weekends off!

I wish it was that easy, been here almost a total for 5 years 1 year c/r and 3 years a t/o and I was luckily enough to pick as a t/o within my 1st year. Weekends off this early will be pipedreams unless I'm lucky enough to get a bid job with weekends off. This job is what you make it some people come from a comfy job with zero senority and then come here thinking they'll get holidays weekends and the tour they want. We are all warned before we start this job that we won't get that but people probably think it's all hearsay. I was going for my bachelors in law and had to stop because I learned the hard way when I started this job that they won't work around your school schedule like a normal job would.

U can DM me if u want my honest opinions.
We don't have to be influenced by these cliquey vibes putting positive uplifting optimistic undertones to my overly sinister negative intentions.

To be honest if you really don't like it here you can always leave and find a better job. It's funny how all the people who complain how much this job sucks are still here working.

In my opinion let people figure this job out for themselves spewing your negativity about the job doesn't work nor does it help people out with the process.

Did my OPA May 8th, did my drug screening Oct 24, just got my email today 11/22 to come back in 11/29 for the final phase of the process, and I’m considered to start class Dec 11. I’m so nervous for class. Anyone who’s been through the class or currently in class, is it hard ??

It's not hard I was in the June 2019 c/r class, as long as you study and pay attention you will not fail. Make sure you ask questions if you're unsure of anything. I've been down here almost 5 years next year June and made it through school car as a t/o.

What normally happens day of final processing ?

Medical, fill out medical forms, if you pass the medical you meet with someone at 180 and then tell you start pay,  hand you a rulebook,  and where and what time to report and how to order your work boots

My drug test expired on 9/27,  the 3 month threshold, I’m mid 8000’s, will they call me back to take it again?

They'll email you again letting you know to come in to take another drug test, I've been thru this process many of times as a c/r and t/o when i was going thru the pre employment a few years ago.

Thanks. Anyone in particular I should ask for?

I would say most likely Olha or try emailing the exams people and seeing also. Call tomorrow and email tomorrow early in the morning. The longer you wait the more you'll miss out. I'm hoping not I wish you the best of luck 🤞🤞

Im 16xx. Somehow I was missed on the last certification when I had a number in the low 20’s. I’m now worried the test will expire before I get the call

I would contact 18p Livingston street to see what's up. I'm a few number below you and been out on the road for 2 years going on 3 years.

I just got an email to go in for the pre employment process. I’m not sure if I have to take a drug test on my own and bring in the results or will they do a drug test on site.

You'll take your drug test there at 180 Livingston Street. So they'll take it on site don't bring in your own results or use your own drug test.

Official in! See you guys on the 22nd if anyone’s there, lol.

P.s I don’t think they give you informational materials in booklet form anymore over there. At least as far as for my title conductor because I’ve asked.

However, you will get an email with 4 attachments: Rules, ethics, benefits & new employee info.. 2 attachments like 100 pages and then another 2 around 50pages.. are we suppose to print it out?

Multiple people mentioned we can get the rule book at the first day of class but what about the other 3 attachments?

Wonder how long it will take to go through them all 🤣🤣🤣

Don't print those out, and any books that you will need you'll get in training just be prepared to have a heavy bag with all your books and tools.

Don't risk it. Don't smoke until you go to your OPA. It IS possible they drug test u that day if they need to quickly fill spots for a class. It says it clearly in your letter that they can drug test u immediately.

To be on the safe side go to dollar tree or w.e and buy those weed test. If you're negative good if not keep not smoking and by the time you get the pre employment you'd be good. Don't ruin a good chance at a career for weed. I can't tell a grown adult how to live their lives but once you retire you can smokey all that Bob Marley you want.

I got arrested when I was a minor. I believe the case should be sealed. But if they require me to bring the disposition do you know how much the courts charges for it? Thank you

I'm not sure how much they will charge tbh with you, go to your local court downtown and it probably shouldn't be much at all. If the case is sealed and isn't like some felony or some 1st degree murder you should be fine, but if you rather exercise on the side of caution then go downtown and get one just in case.

I could come up on the ekg that  will be performed

Well then go to your primary or cardiologist whomever you see to get a letter for the MTA just in case something comes up you got proof that you're good to work.

  15. If your case has been sealed you dont need to bring in anything, it's written in the paperwork you've signed during pre employment. And in terms of medical issues if you can get a note from your doctor before the medical then get one, also if you have anything that won't be discovered during the medical then don't mention. (Obviously use your discretion I'm not liable for anything) But like the person who wrote they snored that could of been not mentioned and could of not be resulted in a being on medical hold. Sometimes being too honest with certain things isn't best just some food for thought for anybody going to their medical soon for the May 8th class.
