  1. Majority of my family and friends work for transit and stated drug test is 90days. 2 of my cousins just got in this year
  2. That person probably meant opa. I called and according to the employment center they are up to number 659 for the pre employment letter
  3. I just got through finally. I was told it will be a few weeks for the opa results to be mailed. After that it’s COMPLETELY in Transit hands to start the hiring process.
  4. What number did you call? The number on the letter of results doesn’t work. I’ve called a few times and waited 20 mins each time and no one answered. I called literally 2 mins ago and they picked up and hung up without speaking.
  5. I got my official letter notice of results from the Mta!!!! Hopefully I’ll start the medical soon!!! 💪🏾
  6. I see we have a lot of family and friends working and retired from Mta lol
  7. As I said before the tie breaker is your social. I scored the same 97.5 and my list number is 91*
  8. I’m speaking for the list in general. Yes people quit and get promoted or whatever but that’s only a few hundred jobs at a time. I’m pretty ok considering that I’m 9xx. I should be called within a few months but those who are 3000-4000 might be a year and some months. That’s why I said what I said.
  9. There’s always a way but I do think she just say that so we won’t call back. I speak to 5 different employees and get 5 different answers. Everyone from 100 to 85 is waiting about 5 years
  10. Let’s just hope we can get in before the freeze. They did say that the top 2000 will be called at the opa last year
  11. Common sense isn’t common. The more they hired the less jobs become available. I’m not saying I agree with the lady I spoke to from the Mta department but it’s a strong possibility especially with the large hires
  12. There’s only a certain amount of positions for each title. If they hired like crazy it’s a possibility they can not have any openings available at the moment. Which I hope isn’t the case. You need to think before you post. Just because you get your notice of results doesn’t mean you will be hired right away. This is a known fact.
  13. She said there is a freeze and they will not be hiring from 6601. No more open vacancies for the position at this time. Due to all those new hires I’m not surprised if there’s a freeze. I hope she’s wrong but there’s only a certain amount of jobs available.
  14. That’s exactly what I’m saying. A freeze is bad. That can take at least 4-5 years depending on openings. We’ll be lucky to be hired by 2020. Hope she’s wrongs
  15. Not surprised at all. Mta bs all the time. It’s unfortunate that we have to wait 4-5 years to get hired.
  16. I just called Mta employment and the lady informed me that there will be no more hires due to no open vacancies. She stated that there is a freeze. I hope she doesn’t know what she’s talking about!!!!
  17. It means a lot. My list number is 9xx and I scored 97.5. Someone else scored the same as me and their list number is 4xx. The tie breaker is your social.
  18. Did anyone from 6601 get letters for the medical? That’s the first step before you start the class. That’s what we need to be worried about.
  19. UPDATE: I just called Mta customer service and they informed me that the last class has been closed out for January. We (6601) are looking at the middle of next year for Mta to send the drug test letters. I researched and found out that the old conductor 8094 list got extended and will close February 16 2018. 8094 has been out for almost 10 years smfh. My friend also called me and told me he got called for the drug testing and paperwork from the 8094 next week. Its not looking good for us 🤬🤬
