I'm currently in T/O schoolcar but would be interested in transferring to a Conductor position. Is that possible and how would I go about it?

I'm 5600, do you think I'll ever be called?

If you call and find out what number they are up to, can you post it here?

I am in the July class. How long does the training last? I had a vacation booked for Feb. 2020. Will I have to cancel it?

I'm in the July 22 class. How long does the training last? I've heard 6-8 months?
Also, I had a vacation planned for Feb. 2020, should I kiss that goodbye? Or is there any chance?

Are those class dates definite? I was called for the June 10 class and asked Michelle Vargas if I could defer to the July class. She said the class was probable but not official and told me to give her a call back around June 7th to talk about getting into a July class.

Will moving violation tickets on your record have you knocked out of contention? Tickets from NY only or all states? What about drivers license suspensions? How many years back do they check?

If I in your position, I wouldn't leave until I receive an official employment offer from the MTA. Even if you receive a canvass letter, you still have to go in with all your documentation, they have to perform background checks, drug tests etc.... Just because the list may be released in July and you scored fairly well doesn't guarantee employment and all the other stuff mentioned above takes time.
You say it takes time, how much time? If we get offered the temp position now (I have to go in Friday), how long will it take before they offer the temp job? Do we get to give our old job 2 weeks notice at least?

I have a friend who works for MTA as a conductor. We took the TO test together. He said they need alot of TO becsuse many retired and also moved up to management.
So is there no background check or medical before receiving the letter?
Medical comes first

May I ask what you guys scored on the test? I am just curious to see if it was sent to a certain range of individuals who might’ve scored really well. I got 4 wrong out the 60, I’m guessing that’s a 93 and I didn’t receive a notice.
I got a letter and got a 95 on the test

I'm not sure how this all works so it might make more sense to go sooner as they may be able to provide you with the paperwork so you would be all set if you were supposed to get the letter for this Friday.
I got a letter the other day and think I only got a 95 on the test

How do we know when they start calling from the list? Will it be reflected on this website what number they are up to?

Does anyone know if there was an October Class for Train Operators? If so, when did it or does it start?
