  1. I had already responded saying that I received the email and that I’ll be at my appointment, so If I defer do you think I should reply again or maybe best to call them up? Thanks
  2. I received a call today with an automated message saying to come in 9/29 at 4pm for pre employment instead of the typo in the email which said 12AM, so I hope that helps anyone who’s wondering about the 12AM appointments being accurate or not, if your canvas email said 12AM and you haven’t received a call, I’d definitely call them to ask what your correct appointment time is. I know this next question has been answered in here before, so apologies for having it brought up again, but it’ll save me time trying to search back if anyone can answer it. When it comes to deferring, how exactly do I do that? Can I defer and then be placed back on the list? If so, should I still make my appointment Wednesday and defer after or should I just defer before and not waste their time. I’m seriously considering this job, it’s just the timing right now is a little difficult, where in a couple months or so that should change.
  3. I finally received the canvassing email last night around 9:30pm, list #33**. The email said my appointment was for this upcoming Wednesday 9/29 at 12:00am, that has to be a mistake right? Lol, I mean if that’s the correct time I’m fine with that, but that just didn’t seem right, definitely going to email them back and call Monday morning to clarify that. I have a couple questions tho and any response would be greatly appreciated. The email says to acknowledge receipt of this email and in the link for the pre employment application it says to respond to the canvas, otherwise you’ll be removed from the list. Does filling out the pre employment application and sending it back cover all that, or am I supposed to also simply reply to them saying I received the canvas and I’m interested. Also, it said to send the application back to the email address provided in the canvas email, am I sending this paperwork back to the person who sent me the canvas email or this email that was provided at the bottom RTOEmploymentOperations@nyct.com. Sorry if these questions have been answered in here already, I might have missed it, but thanks again ahead of time for any help with this and congrats to anyone who recently made it through the process or is going to be doing it soon.
  4. Hey, does anyone know if they’ve extended this list? I read somewhere that said it’s supposed to expire February 2022. I’m list #33** so I feel I’m pretty close, but February might be too close, lol, fingers crossed it got extended and if not eventually does.
  5. Received my letter to take the OPA this past Friday, going in to take it on May 2nd at 1:15 and my list # is 33xx. When I emailed the exams unit on April 9th asking when I might be asked to take the OPA, they said within the next few months and I’ll be going in less than a month after emailing them so maybe that’s a good sign for anyone on the list who is not too far behind me. I wonder how long after until I get called for pre employment 🤔. That’s assuming I pass the OPA lol. Good luck to everyone else in this process
  6. Yea learn how to do it on YouTube that’s what I did when I finally got tired of asking people to do it for me as I kept getting older lol. Check out this dude, real easy
  7. I emailed exams and asked them if they knew when I would be scheduled to take the OPA and they said I should be scheduled within the next few months, my list # is 33xx. They also mentioned in the email that the employment center has called up to list # 600. I hope this info is helpful. Thanks again @Schecterfor the advice 👍
  8. Thanks for the feedback, at least things are moving along, so there’s hope
  9. Hey everyone, first time posting here, so i apologize if any of what I’m about to say has already been answered and I’m just repeating old questions, but any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Anyway, I scored 95.00 on the test and my list # is 33xx. I know that’s not the greatest # to have, but i also don’t think it’s too bad either from what I’ve been told by someone i know who used to work for the MTA. Also, I haven’t received any letter yet about taking the OPA. Should I be worried that I haven’t received a letter about taking that or does it seem about right that my list # wouldn’t have been called yet for that next step. I have skimmed through some of the posts here and see that people in the first few hundreds of the list are going into pre employment, so it’s good to see that things are moving. Is there any hope that my list # has a chance of ever being called? If so, does anyone have an idea or a guess of maybe when they would reach it? Like I said before any feedback would be helpful. Congratulations btw to anyone who has been called for pre employment and best of luck to everyone else waiting.
