  1. That’s if you can get the cops to reach them in time before they run.
  2. Pretty much the same. Maybe phase 2 or 3 of second avenue would be complete.
  3. This is exactly why a 5 to Utica Avenue will never work. Franklin Avenue will never be able to handle the number of passengers on the platforms. People keep talking about Rogers Junction, yet they know nothing about that area. Flatbush terminal is the bigger problem.
  4. It seems unlikely that the MTA will consider any extension project until the Second Avenue line is complete. That is their main focus.
  5. I am not against $3 subway rides IF I see visible improvements.
  6. I’m a bit confused here. Do train operators make money based on the number of trips they made or is it based on number of hours they are on duty?
  7. It’s because I didn’t look like I was from that area. Rush hours it’s fine but I was along that line around 10pm oof!
  8. Thanks 😂 I fell asleep on 3 train once and I was permanently scared. Never sleep on trains.
  9. For me it has to be the black people. I know not are black people are scary, but people from here are just different.
  10. https://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/news/2018/12/21/union-slams-mta-for-using-some-high-tech-robots-for-track-inspections-instead-of-workers It would be quite interesting to hear your opinions on this article. My opinion- the union is causing trouble now.
  11. You have to purchase new cars, extend platforms, reconfigure some signals, etc and it’ll be more expensive (or about the same) than just fixing the Main Street terminal which is the real chockpoint. It takes trains forever to get in there.
  12. What? I'm not being unreasonable. I cannot think of any advantage of bench seating over bucket seating.
  13. Why was bucket seating removed from the newer train cars? 1. Bucket seating discourages the homeless from sleeping in train cars 2. If someone spills a drink, the spill is contained to one seat 3. Bucket seating forces fat people to stick to their own seat I hate it when fat people sit next to me
  14. If you don't say something, you didn't see anything. Good life lesson too.
  15. Well then you would have to debate on whether or not it is worth leaving early to bike to your destination. All depends on how you value your time. Also depends on where you are going. i.e. you don't want to show up to work sweaty or tired right? Then there is the risk of getting injured riding a bike. It will happen, especially in the city. Fyi don't bike when it rains, snows, hurricanes, etc I would just use the subway
  16. Frankly, if you were a MTA employee would you say something? I think people just want to stay out of confrontation. Let the cops handle it.
  17. Using Citi Bike costs more than a subway fare. I don't see a reason to bike other than exercise. Don't recommend biking at all, drivers here are crazy.
  18. Depends on how much you make in an hour. But it can be great exercise however.
  19. The MTA deserves more credit than we give them. Sometimes delays such as a sick passenger has nothing to do with them.
