  1. Im wondering this also, and how long the TWU orientation is going to be, I came here to ask these questions as well. I haven't seen anybody mention it here before it either. Only thing I know about it is that you'll be given a lot of paperwork to go over. Other than that I don't know. Somebody in has to know more.
  2. Update: I'm also getting this error when trying to submit my covid document over at https://mtacovidportalprd.nymta.info/ "BSCID or Date of Birth entered is not correct. Please try again." Has this happened to anybody else? I got processed on Thursday.
  3. Yeah just tried my login today. I got the same message. Try emailing them at helpmta@safgard.com. I emailed them today but if I don't hear anything back from them I'll have to call them Monday. Worst case scenario is that I'll have to buy some boots.
  4. They haven't gone past 2200 yet. The highest number I saw on the list for medical was 2190s.
  5. Just got back from medical. I literally spent 9 hours and 30mins in that building; and I thought pre-employment wait time was bad.
  6. The last one expired 09/30/2021 and renewed 01/28/2022 so it could be a while.
  7. Yeah I’m trying to figure out if I still have a chance. I know with the 3600 exam they hired past 2500 but I’m not sure what that hiring situation was. So many factors in-play with this exam unlike the last one so information is all over the place. The certification expires tomorrow so we’ll have to wait to see if they post a new list and then we’ll get the most accurate number of what spot we’re in. If they post a new certification list we’ll be able to know how many people they went through this round.
  8. At the rate it's currently moving how long are you guessing that it'll take to get to you?
  9. Your cert # is currently 5XX and they already sent you Pre-employment email, PE/Drug test, and Medical and Final?
  10. Try going to HR but honestly I don't think you should get your hopes up. There's been posts' about this before with multiple users in your same situation and the same outcome happened to every one of them. They failed a drug test, they were recommended to take a drug prevention course which they had to pay for out of pocket, after completing the course the person they met up with will send MTA an email with your application in hopes of them reversing their decision, you'll wait a while, then you'll get a letter from MTA stating they've reviewed your case and they've determined that you're not eligible for the job and will not be hired. On top of that you'll also be informed that you're not allowed to apply for any transit positions for the next year. I think the wait-a-year thing is a bit harsh but unless they've made an update to their 2018/2019 hiring process that I'm unaware of then it's still normal protocol.
  11. Thanks! I'm 21XX so I have a long wait so I'm glad the list is still moving.
  12. How do you tell that there were 300 more vacancies open? Does it show it somewhere on the Civil Service list?
  13. They reached out back to me. They said it'll be mailed to me at least 10 days before the first date of the multiple-choice test. Thanks for the good luck, I'll need it. I've been studying from a book I got off of Amazon but I'm unsure if the test will be anything like that. Barely any people here have taken the Revenue Equipment Maintainer test so I don't have a lot of information to go off on.
  14. With Covid everything has changed up. I applied to the Revenue Equipment Maintainer position which is exam 2600. The filing ended 7/27. My 'Application Status' says 'Submitted' and my 'Payment Status' says 'Success' so I did everything on my end. On the exam it says the Test Date is September 20, 2021 but I haven't received any mail from MTA for the Exam Info i.e. Location, Time, etc. Does it usually take this long for them to send out the mail for the exam info considering that the test is only 26 days away? If I should've gotten it by now is there somebody I can email about this?
  15. Application Deadline: July 27, 2021 Type of Test: Multiple-Choice Test Application Fee: $91.00 Test Date: (subject to change) Multiple-choice testing is expected to begin on Monday, September 20, 2021 The exam just opened up on the 9th. I haven't seen much talk about Revenue Equipment Maintainer positions on this forum. Has anybody ever taken an exam for this position? If so could you give me some insight on what type of questions they asked on this exam.
  16. I rarely see anybody post about Revenue Equipment Maintainer positions. The last time I applied for an MTA Transit position was the Revenue Equipment Maintainer opening last year where we were suppose to take the exam back in May 16th/17th which got postponed then cancelled. When reapplying for the new opening this year I noticed how MTAs application process changed up drastically. For one, there was no PDF link to view the positions, it was all in text on their revamped website which meant I didn't have to print anything out and fill out my work experience, school, etc. it was a nice refreshment. I filled out everything online, uploaded me resume then submitted my application. What was also nice is that I didn't have to pay an application fees and go to the USPS and get a money order. I'm making this post to see if anyone else has applied for this position or any of the previous Revenue Equipment Maintainer positions.
  17. So glad you guys are getting emails and calls backs! I'm in the 2100s so it's going to be a while for me. I noticed that the Civil Service list has been updated with the List Agency Description now being updated to 'N.Y.C. TRANSIT AUTHORITY'. Also the Request Date, Certification Date, Certification Issue Number, as well as the salary have all be updated. So hopefully this means it's full-steam ahead from here. I just wish there was a way for them to show who got emailed/called so I wouldn't be paranoid if I missed the email/call.
  18. Has the Civil Service List Certification page changed for this exam? The link provided before that worked has no data for the 8600 exam anymore.
  19. Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing good! Has anybody applied to the Electronic Equipment Maintainer, Exam No. 1602 or any of the previous tests for it? I had applied and paid the fee for the 0624 Electronic Equipment Maintainer test along time ago but I recently got an email saying that they cancelled the test and to expect a refund check for the exam fee in the mail by December 17th so I'm thinking about applying for this new exam but I don't really know if I'm qualified and I don't know what's going to be on the Electronic Equipment Maintainer, Exam No. 1602 test. It says: I have an associates in Computer Information Technology; you think that's somewhere similar to the requirements? I know with the 0624 Electronic Equipment Maintainer it said specifically 2-years Computer Technology degree but not with this new test, just wondering if I should apply and if my degree would cut it. Thanks!
  20. Okay so for my situation I'm only 22 and have been attending college full-time straight out of high school and I've never had a job. What happens if I have a blank resume? That's really my only concern, never had an arrest or a ticket.
  21. Just got around to opening this letter today. It came on the 27th and I thought it was just regular info in regards to the 0624 Electronic Equipment Maintainer job I recently applied for. I opened it today and it says I've been placed on the eligible list. This was the first MTA test I've ever taken and it was so long ago I forgot all about it (the 0624 Electronic Equipment Maintainer will be my second ever.) I know a bunch of you guys are veterans at this whole process so I got a few questions: 1. What does letter mean exactly? 2. What exactly does a 'list number' mean? 3. Is list number 21XX.000 decent? 4. What do I do from here?
