This month, I applied for position called "Associate Cashier (Vault Hand)" on the job posting website. The status went to "Passed Prescreening" within about a week after the closing date. The job description didn't mention anything about a test or application fees. If I get contacted for an interview or something, I'll post again in this thread.
Someone told me if you apply for a job with the MTA, sometimes they will contact you with an offer for a different job. For example, if you apply for track worker, you might receive a call back with an offer for a cleaner position. Is this true? If it is, would it be a good strategy to apply for every exam, even the ones you aren't qualified for, in an attempt to get an offer?
