  1. Happy and healthy new year everyone. A couple months ago, I responded to the TA by requesting they bypass my list number (not ready). When do they normally revisit this and call on my number again?
  2. yes received numerous text messages, automated voicemails and an email. List #14x. Will not take the position at this time. @Young do you know if you are able to delay the process for the next go around of hiring notifications?
  3. Just received my final test score 93.333 and list number 14X. Does that mean that this list is promulgated? If so, when do you think i will hear from them?
  4. keep us updated on what you hear. i hope your gf brother heard that news from someone legit. i got 4 wrong and plan to protest them. good stuff man
  5. The protest session is on Jan 25. You have to email and inform them you are going. After all is said and done, the mta will post an official final key
  6. Hello folks, if anyone can shed a little light please do so. According to the NOE, it says that we will be receiving an electronically generated list number and then as vacancies occur, they will schedule us for the BOSS exam. Well, I never received a list number but I just took the BOSS exam this morning. How does this work? edited- it says the list number will be on the test admission letter. I can't recall seeing a list number on that letter, and the test proctor took it from us during the test. Where can i get that information from?
  7. Oops looks like I touched a nerve. Sorry man. No one from the MTA told me anything. I guess l got confused and not realize the part time b/o test i took earlier today is not a civil service exam. I should have read the NOE a little better. Either or, I took it and it's done. Will wait to see what pans out from both of these tests. However, I will go to the 9303 link you mentioned for more details. Thank you for that. Going back to the previous question, historically, how many classes OR is there an average amount of classes the MTA puts out a year?
  8. Just took the part time b/o test 9303 and it was just the BoSS test only. This is prob the most efficient way to give the test. If you pass then you take the civil service. If not, then no civil service. Hope that speeds up the process in the future.
  9. Since the training is only two weeks, how many classes do they put in a year. How fast or slow do they move the list within that time frame?
  10. How big is a normal class hired at one time? How long is the training before they hire another class? Also, do you think they will establish this list a lot sooner than normal being that both civil and BOSS were administered on the same day? Do they factor in your BOSS score when establishing the list? I’m bad in math but what would the raw score be for four incorrect answers, i intend to protest this on the 25th as well. Thank you +Young+
  11. There is no need to speculate at this point. There are many factors involved (ie Protest session, BOSS exam, how many other exams they are currently hiring from, etc) before getting called. Take it one step at a time and continue to take exams. Keep taking them until the day you are hired.
  12. They still have to do protests. They can not establish a list until after they come out with the official final key.
  13. This thread is becoming more and more interesting with respect to "getting in" on this job. I hope your "gut fishy feeling" is right! Lol.... I am recently retired "from the job". I just need to get another 10 more years of service under my belt to get the second pension. The sooner i get hired, the better!
  14. Does anyone know how many applicants took this test compared to the previous tests?
  15. I like the sound of that. Just speculating, but maybe that’s the reason why they did both tests (civil and BOsS) on the same day. Expedite the process. Cmon MTA, make it happen. Thank you DrewMania!
  16. Thank you Young. It’s good to know they can hire from multiple lists. It’s even better knowing that we’ve completed both tests on one day. Good stuff man. You’ve been a formidable presence on this forum and you are a wealth of good information. Thank you for your responses. I wish you the best in whatever decision you make regarding whether you should restore or not. I like the trend Mr Young. If it took 2 years to establish the list for 4600 and 1 year for 7612, I’m expecting to see my name in the single digits within 6 months 🤣!
  17. Historically, how long thereafter the protest on Jan 25 will they establish the list? Do they exhaust the old one before they start hiring from 9604 or do they hire from multiple lists? It's going to be interesting to see how they will promulgate our list being that we've completed both the civil service and BOSS tests in one shot as opposed to the last test where they didn't.
  18. Overall I thought the test was fair. You just needed to take your time with some of those “wordy” questions. It was also easy to make careless mistakes if you didn’t pace yourself.
  19. I can’t recall any errors. Is this the place to be speaking about test questions or should we have to wait for after the sabbath observers?
  20. The instructions on the test booklets front page states that we are responsible to ensure that the booklet was intact and complete with sixty (60) questions. My proctor also said this was the first time MTA instituted both tests (BOSS and civil service exam) to be taken on one day. I wonder why they did that?
  21. Okay Young. I think I found it under the summary plan descriptions.
