  1. I’m assuming everyone in this thread is TA. OA and MTA have their own separate exams and list. So, I can’t see why they would be following a TA thread. Dispatcher classes though are always mixed with TA, OA, and MTA.
  2. It's hard to say at what rate they will get to the rest of list without knowing how many people on the list aren't eligible or will turn it down and how many people that they have skipped because they weren't eligible at the time their name was called but will be before the list expires. They will come back to those skipped if they become eligible.
  3. Extending the old list ... going all the way up to 300 and Covid screwed us. Transit typically hires quarterly. So roughly every 4 months
  4. The first class didn't go in till mid April 2021. So for 6 months no classes. I don't think they were hiring anyone at all prior to April because of Covid. Since April 2021 ...the first class .. they have had steady classes one after another. So since they actually started hiring they breezed through half the list 100 people in a year. I think that's pretty fast. Granted it should have been years ago because they never should have extended the old list a second time.
  5. Dispatches haven’t got new contact or raises yet. Only TWU operators got that contact. Then the pandemic hit and B/0s in Si, Queens, and dispatchers are still trying for one.
  6. Everyone is still in Brooklyn or queens. There is a waiting list of approximately 15-16 and they are being transferred as there are openings in Staten Island, but it’s a slow process.
  7. The actual criteria directly from the memorandum is “no more than a total of 7 days or 3 instances in two out of the 3 years evaluated” FmLA isn’t held against you.
  8. I don’t know where you heard that. I have the email that went out to the depots management. It listed everyone that’s going to be in the first class along with their list number. Last number was 41.
  9. A random is generally truly random. Unless you show up to work stumbling and slurring or something like that they are sending you. Yeah first you’ll prob here your file was pulled. That means transit is about to have a class, they are up to you on the list, and they are checking who’s good. Next you’ll see the Gs. He will give you paper work and tell you when you’re to go to the Mac. Then we wait for class to start which is usually a week or so after medical.
  10. “Bumping” definitely wasn’t my intention. I don’t care if this thread is “hot” or my post count. Not sure why I would care about it.
  11. Because no one officially got called yet. Still waiting on the first class. I all so heard it got pushed back till maybe March.
  12. When transit is getting ready to have a class they will send out notifications to your depots management to review your file to see if you meet the criteria for a promotion. They check attendance, disciplinary action, awol, etc. If you’re good management approves it and sends it back. Then you wait for another notice to report for medical. Feb 8th isn’t a definite.
