Dispatching, yeah, the Bx3 has horrible dispatching. Service really depends on traffic, as damn near every line goes through heavy corridors. Maintenance…you haven’t been on GH buses or even some of the other boroughs buses. I would agree though, KB does have bad maintenance, mainly due to the school kids (most of the lines go through notoriously bad schools).

The Bx1 and Bx10 are worse in my opinion.

I will have to agree with dispatching. A lot of their services are inconsistent, with gaps in service and buses leaving in bunches even when there isn't any traffic problems on the route.

The service on the Bx1, and Bx10 are horrible in the mornings.

From what I understand, some parts of the IND still has the original signals from the IND was built where's the J line signals was redone in the 90s. Concourse is IND and is not getting CBTC, it's signal system was redone in the 90s also.

A good portion of their signals are brand new... as in less than 5 years old

The next station that'll be receiving elevators in the future will be Sheepshead Bay on the (B)(Q). There's a work area barricaded stated that it's getting a lift in amount of two.

Mosholu Parkway (4) as well. Area had been barricaded and it resulted in movement of two bus stops.

As a somewhat regular A train rider the R211 is a big improvement. They are smoother, have better lighting, have better rush hour capacity, much better announcements (even if they are underwhelming), better signage, and they generally go faster. I do agree about the seating issue though, but them starting to retire is probably for the best.

I think this is why the married pair R46s haven't gotten LED Interior Lighting, as 92 Cars (23 4-Car) R46s have only gotten them, which could signify that they truly are going first.

Well actually I’m 32 thank you very much.  I’m just a very picky individual, similar to when people go to restaurants and want their food to taste good. If it doesn’t I literally won’t eat

LMAOOOO you thought correcting him about your age was gonna make it better?

Why are Coney's R46s worse? Have you seen the Pitkin ones? they are, no joke, falling apart.

Coney got mostly Jamaica R46s which were in better condition to begin with.

The Pitkin R46s are better than the Coney Island ones for sure. The Pitkins ones don't have it as bad as you think.

It'll probably a 800 car order. You need 755 60 foot R268s to replace the entire R68 fleet, They'll probably add an additional 45 cars for fleet expansion totaling up to 800 cars. Makes me think the Base would be at least 400 cars with the option order being 400 cars.

You need at least 785 cars to replace the R68/As entirely.

I'm assuming that these fans live in Astoria.

Less seats means more standing room, which means that more people can fit on the train.

Also, they are against making the C and G full length.

If option 2 is exercised the N/Q/W can get some of the r160's back in addition to getting all the r68's.

The B, D, E, F should get the r211's. The Q can borrow the r211's during the weekends, since it's the only Broadway line besides the R that gets rerouted via 6th Avenue. The R can keep the r160's. If option 2 includes 8 car trains, then those can go to the M.

I agree with the (B)and (D) getting R211s, as the ridership in the Bronx isn't as major as Queens Blvd, it can get crowded to the point where passengers are forced to wait for the next train, calls for capacity increase if you ask me. Either that, or service increase on both lines.  Now, if the (B) runs these, the (Q) will for sure run them as well, because they do share fleets and rotate with each other every Sunday.

Wow! That’s really cool to see! Don’t blame me for not seeing the Far Rockaway thing cuz I see it, but besides that, it’s looks like it belongs there. But there’s one problem… WHY THE HELL WOULD THE MTA PUT A 10-CAR SET ON A f**kING SHUTTLE!!?!?!?!? The least they can do is break the 2 sets apart!!

Clearly you weren't around the IND Rockaways in 2020 on the A Line during the summer.

Still, if employees are doing what they suppose to be doing at work, then they should not have an issue with being supervised via camera or via face to face. This applies to all jobs in general.

In the case of the MTA, train crews are responsible for the safety of thousands of people who ride the subway.

I'm sure they understand that, but there's still a boundary to it. I would feel some type of way if they put cameras in the cabs too. That shit is weird.

  12. I fail to see how the Bronx would be affected as it is connected to the rest of the continent as opposed the other 4 boroughs, and Long Island. And I as I think about it when they say New York City would sink due to the weight of the buildings, I think this is more directed to Manhattan as it is an island with the most amount of skyscrapers.

Idk if it's just me, but it feels like a significantly higher proportion of operating (A) fleet has been R46s lately compared to R179s? Anyone know if there's actually something going on here; perhaps they're transferring more R46s to the (A) so they can just be replaced when the R211s start entering service without a fleet swap. Idk.

It's just you, Pitkin lately has been minimizing R46 usage, from what I've noticed.

I’ve seen full length R46s run on the (C) during the weekday hours. Remember: the (C) only has 84 8 car R179s, which only makes 10 trains. For the (C) to get full service, it has to get the R46s from the (A). Once 8th Ave goes fully CBTC, then you can see a sea of New techs running up & down the (A)(C) and (E)

    The (C) has 92 R179s.
