  1. Just hypothesizing. Probably because these trains are probably decade out and Lexington Ave CBTC may be online before then. But that's just me.
  2. I hate the yellow grab rails, and hope that they don't make it to the production trains...but other than that, the renderings look much better (and less cartoonish) than previous versions.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if they wind up on the , as the R142s from the will likely have to go to the for Lexington Ave CBTC before the R262s.
  4. Just amateur speculation on my end, but I wouldn't be surprised if the is staying at 480' after all, with the 4-car R179s. But, wouldn't the only other places they could theoretically go be ENY or the , where the former already has an abundance of 4-car sets? Again, I could be wrong, but it seems that the Eastern Division will soon have more than enough cars on its hands--and it wouldn't be a shock for the to scrap their 600' plans without fair warning. It will also be interesting to see the 5-car sets running.
  5. This morning I was on an train that stopped at Steinway Street. I'm not a frequent rider of the but does this frequently happen? There was no special announcement. Also, if I recall correctly, the was stopping there as well, which to my knowledge, only happens late nights?
  6. Was just on R160 #8625-8628 on the tonight. (I didn’t get the numbers of the other set in the consist.) If it is indeed the last R160 at 207th, there’s not long before it’s transferred to ENY.
  7. That makes sense. Based on the wording of earlier comments, I wasn’t sure if the 5-car R179s were NOT to be on the in the future.
  8. Is it somehow more likely that the would receive the 5-car R179s than the ? I'm wondering why it's been said that the 4-car sets are testing on the , but that the will become full-length and the may get the 5-car sets.
