According to the FastForward Plan, I would assume that there is a chance will run fully with 8car R179 and will get 10car R179 + R211 because of the CBTC implementation in the first five year. Then will have R32 back plus some R160+R143. I am just not sure about , because MTA could have 4 car R160 for the or make it full length.

You are saying Capacity V.S. Frequency. MTA won't let you have both at the same time. Its better to have more trains(freq) with R179 although MTA needs more crews for that. I take from Broadway Junction to 145 st at 8AM and and the other way at 6PM almost every weekday. I agree that 81st st is packed sometimes because of the museum, But I dont agree other stations in CPW are packed from what I observed. I do think MTA needs to have more trains to run CPW local during the weekend while is not running at that time. Or they can just use R46 on the weekend. I mean with 8 car sets is good enough now.

I would like to take the R179 A from 59st st to 125st st express and feel its acceleration. Some of the T/Os drive super fast in this segment with avg speed of 50+mph if my calculation is correct.

The thing is the manufactures hasn't gain any experiences from the past especially R179 is only a newer version of R160. If you take closer look of the interior of R179, there are lots of things that they should have them done better.

They should fix the glitch of showing on the LCD on some sets of cars.
