The background check is usually done after you do final processing like that’s wen u complete that big packet and stuff. But I didn’t get to that. I got the invite to come and a start date for training but then they just said don’t come. And is going over my regular application that I filled out that was sent via USPS mail. But I will definitely take a trip sometime next week cuz this is stressful and unfair being the time given going to PE every time trying to switch current job schedule if possible and then having to wait or not to give job 2wk notice or not wen offered a position wit MTA just for them to say oh wait never mind. It’s kinda psychological torture on my hopes and dreams 😭 lol.

I did drug test and everything in January. It was for Station Agent 6600 and my list # was in the 600’s. I was being considered for the 3/18 class. I was supposed to go for final processing on 2/15 but the day before it they sent me the email saying don’t come because management has to look over my application again. So I did call the same day and ms Watson said she can’t tell me over the phone for legal purposes so I said ok. The email says they will get back to me with a decision. my thing is they didn’t even do the background check or anything yet so what could’ve been wrong? I was filling out the CPD 21pg packet but after the email I stopped cuz wats the point if I’m not going for final processing. I’m jus so confused and annoyed.

Does anyone know any reasons why MTA would email me to come in for final processing and offer me a conditional letter and start date only to rescind the whole thing even before I go in for final processing? Like is that even legal what they did? I passed everything only for them to get me hyped up then to take back the offer the next day.
