  1. Did my medical today and everything went well. I will be in the June 26th class, good luck to everyone.
  2. Has everyone been called for this June 26 class? or at least for the medical?
  3. Still a chance! Even though they said this list will expire in September, it might be extended. I was in the yard yesterday and I saw a brand new C/R class off the 2016 test. Supposedly this test expired in February 2023, It's all on the TA's needs
  4. Dude you’re suppose to say no for everything. Don’t give them any reason to put you on hold.
  5. just received my second pre-employment email. Going in on 5/4, List # 62**
  6. Was this an email from RTO Employment Operations? My list number is 62XX, only did one pre-employment back on 11/28/22. My 90s are up and I haven't received that email yet.
  7. List number 62XX. I just received an email stating PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL MTA New York City Transit canvass you for Train Operator- Exam 7604, List # 62XX and there was a computer glitch and you were canvass by mistake. Unfortunately, your list number will not be reached for the upcoming class. Please do not report to the Employment Center because your name will not be on the list of candidates being considered for Train Operator. Please excuse this error and we do look forward to your employment opportunities with MTA New York City Transit. It's weird because I didn't receive any canvas email but opened up my inbox and got this today. The last time I spoke to someone from the employment center, I was told the last person appointed was in the 5500 range. Not sure if they'll be reaching us if they plan on having 1 class in April and 1 class In August (The list is supposed to expire in September) but I'll still keep a positive attitude. My last drug test was back in November as well.
  8. Ms. Olha does not answer emails or phone calls. The best way to get information, is from the employment center # 1347-643-8217. Someone answers the phone Monday - Friday and will provide you with information regarding hiring, drugs test, upcoming classes etc.
  9. I'm not sure, just a waiting game. I went in the same day for the drug test as well.
  10. Hi, I Hope everyone is doing well and congratulations to the newly appointed T/Os. As for the people still going through the pre employment process, I just got off the phone with the employment center 347-643-8217. I was told that as of right now it's no scheduled upcoming classes. Transit has to send the test back out to the city to get re-certified (meaning, for additional classes). The lady also informed me that this test Is valid until September 2023, So keep your hopes up and stay positive.
  11. https://www.intelligenttransport.com/transport-news/142216/mta-nyc-subways-single-day-ridership-record-in-december-2022/ not sure what you’re reading but obviously we won’t have 2019 numbers. We just came out of a pandemic. Ridership is slowly going up.
  12. Ridership is not low, it was low during Covid but that’s just another bull shit excuse transit uses when they want more money from the government. They received a record breaking Covid grant of 14 billion in 2021 and another 6 billion in 2022. We should be getting raises this upcoming contract, if not it proves how weak our union is.
  13. Finally got in touch with an actual person when I called 1347-643-8217. The women I spoke to said the last appointed was in the 5200s. She also said that January is the only class scheduled for the 2023 (As of right now). I asked if she thinks they’ll be anymore classes and was told it’s a strong possibility, just be patient. High chance I will have to do another 3 month urine test.
  14. Yes, her retirement was a surprise to me as well. She was very helpful during the process of hiring when I started the conductor process 3 years ago. I got Vacation early March so if I can get in a class after that would be perfect.
  15. Hi, I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. I went in for my initial drug test on 11/26 file # 62**. Does anybody know what was the last number appointed? I'm trying to gauge when i might get called for the final medical. I tried reaching out to Ms. Olha Via email, no response and Ms. Vargas has retired. I'm currently a conductor, going in on 3 years.
  16. Well their not having any classes with this whole Coronavirus going on.
  17. Exactly!! I’m all about the money and I’m going to milk transit for all it’s got.
  18. I haven’t worked the A at midnights but I’m sure it’ll be fun 😎
  19. Bro It’s fine lol the RDO was easy and I don’t believe in not working RDOs while on probation. Something can easily happen on a schedule day! You have to have the confidence lol I worked the RDO my second day on the road like boss. The job is too easy worry about what can go wrong! Just know your job 🤷🏾‍♂️
  20. They got me on Midnights/PMs and RDOs Monday and Tuesday. Picked up a Easy Mikey job yesterday on my RDO.
  21. I meant to update everyone on here but things have been super busy lately. I passed my final and road practical last weekt! Been out on the road for a few days now and already working RDO's . It's totally different in the "real world" outside of school car. lol my first day out I had to call RCC because of an "unconscious" passenger. You just have to be ready for all the surprises. Update on future classes: Unfortunately I was told by multiple TSSs that it will not be any classes for both C/R and T/O for the rest of the year. This could change though! Good luck to all those that are still waiting. PS. B Division is the best hahaha
  22. Going to be honest with you, I was told that it's going to be a hold on hiring for a while. You're right there though! They'll get to you.
