  1. Question, if someone needed to resign while on probation, where do you go? Do you give a notice or just go resign? Asking for one of my classmates.
  2. When I had my swearing in at 180, and finished paper work, they gave me the rule book right then and there along with the info for the boots, first day orientation time and location, all of that. So I’m assuming if they told them to print it, it’s probably accurate. They also didn’t provide my induction with PDF’s of the books, we had to get them from other people.
  3. Hello everyone! Does anyone have good recommendations for backpacks or anything that is smaller but just as durable and fits what is needed like the Kaka bag?! It served its purpose for school car but now since I’m starting road ops I want something smaller and not so chunky. TIA
  4. Not necessarily. I mean you might but usually if you’re in the class part, the school car TSS’ usually get holidays I believe? But you’ll find out when you get your schedule for sure lol. Maybe someone from last year that was in a class can answer that for you.
  5. Eh I get you being frustrated BUT if the opportunity presents itself, and it’s your turn on the list, you’re gonna wanna take it to see if it’s for you or not. Don’t get me wrong, you should know whether it’s for you or not in the first few months, but it takes some people longer. And to be fair, unless you work in transit already, there is no way to know or predict what this job entails until you’re in training for it. I don’t think it’s a waste of time because who is going to want to miss a great opportunity and sit back and wonder if they made a mistake not going for the job without trying?
  6. Congrats man!!! Been seeing you posting since you started, seemed like it was yesterday haha. Good luck out there!
  7. I was just wondering if anyone in the job knew where we could get a shield with our pass on it? Any places that do it if you show them your pass #??? TIA
  8. So only one option has a payroll deduction if I’m not mistaken. The others don’t. When you get your new hire info it will all be in there for specifics but it’s cheap per bi-weekly pay period.
  9. Good luck to the new induction!!! Keep building my seniority 🤣 but seriously, you guys got this!! It’s very daunting but just put in the work and it will work out! I have my second practical this weekend! 🍀
  10. I heard they’re skipping July but resuming in August. I don’t think the last class for the year is June.
  11. Thats the route I think he should take…. Depends on how bad you want/need the job…. But i hear they are having an August class too, but its up to you if you want to risk it.
  12. Yeah thankfully didn’t have any points yet but I had to get the 6 points…. I know it sucks but once again it’s up to you what you do. I didn’t want to risk it and then finding out, so I took the L. I know you can take driving class to get some of them knocked off so do with that what you will. Good luck and I hope it all works out.
  13. Plead guilty and pay fine… my advice, that’s what I had to do. I had a lawyer too but my hearing was set back too far so if you want the job I’d just pay it.
  14. So when I went for preemployment the guy asked me if I had any moving violations or tickets and he just said I had to pay it and send him confirmation…. You have to disclose to them but it won’t affect your employment. I had a speeding ticket and he just said to pay it and send him the confirmation email.
  15. Lol yeah they say that a lot, but I’m just worried about passing the practical, only reason why I’m stressing it.
