  1. Outside of the handful of LFSA artics at Flatbush depot, probably not. It seems as though the LFS/LFSA is the modern equivalent to the former Orion V and D60HF fleets. Notice how most of those buses are running in former Orion V and New Flyer D60HF areas.
  2. That's good, hopefully all the premature teething issues on these subway cars will come to an end. When the R211's start arriving next year to replace the R46s, hopefully the MTA can keep 200-300 cars on the side as back trains just in case. Why don't we have a subway car reserve system like we (barely) do the buses?
  3. I'm surprised they haven't gotten more artics yet.
  4. If MTA Long Island bus never became Nassau Inter-county Express, what service changes do you guys think would have been made of cancelled? Would the N20 ever gotten split? Would the N22A ever would have been eliminated? How about the bus system's infrastructure? Would Rockville Center Depot still close down eventually, thus ending the career of most of the remaining Orion Vs at the time on Long Island? Let's discuss!
  5. Yes, I totally agree 100%. Anyway, are we officially done with CNG buses?
  6. WMATA in D.C. had saved many of their 2000 Orion 5.501s for a rainy day and they apparently had several. Had to remove their XN40s and NABI BRT 42 hybrids from service for a period of time.
  7. Yeah, like the actual "MTA New York City bus" decals in the rear. Never understood why they didn't do it the 2015-16 LFS way.
  8. It seems that this has been put on the back burner for now due the the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
  9. So, what's the lifespan on the tanks of the Orion VII NG CNG fleet anyway? I assume that the EPA10 CNGs are about 18 years or so, but what about the NGs?
  10. Has any other Orion VII NG CNGs or 3G CNGs been repainted? Those 2011's in particular look like they are ready to retire already....
  11. I was reading an article about how the MTA might scrap some capital projects and one of them pertained to a potential 650 bus order being canned. Does anyone know what order that is? It said it included 75 electric buses and 23 express coaches ( 2021 Prevost X3-45 expansion order to take of the X23 and X24?)? Could this crisis also delay the 100% electric bus fleet conversion by 2040?
  12. So, why didn't the MTA keep a few 1998-1999 Novabus RTS's in storage in case of emergencies with the newer bus fleet like the electric buses? They could have kept like 40-60 of the best ones?
  13. Slightly off topic, but why is NICE allowing front boarding/payment, but nobody else?
