  1. Looks like 20808 was retrofitted with new color destination signs as a test. I've always thought NJT should consider other colors of destination signs, especially white LED as it looks very vibrant at night.
  2. Someone also said they saw 3 Orange garage 5300-series GO buses at CMF with black paint. Not sure which ones though.
  3. Yeah it was spotted at a hotel. Wonder if it's the same one in South Plainfield where a lot of the new MCIs parked before going to ADD
  4. Wonder if more retirements will follow. I'm guessing more will retire once more Coach USA units transfer to NJT operations.
  5. 21245 plate OYB8805 per inspection report. We're getting close to OYB9000-series. Also, not sure why some ex-Coach USA 21000s still show their most recent inspection report at Coach USA despite having entered service with NJT. This is the case for 21236-21243, 21247-21249, 21252, and 21254-21255. I do know that self inspections do not get posted - not sure if that's the reason.
  6. 21234 VIN is 1M8PDMNA4MW016282 confirmed through inspection. 21236-21238 still show inspection at Coach USA Paramus as the most recent one.
  7. I'm pretty sure they were fixed under Suburban Transit since it was at a different repair shop (not NJT CMF) and it had Coach USA livery on the rear after it was repaired.
  8. 21245 and 21248 were fire damaged. 21245 caught fire in December 2021 and has not been seen since (but a photo from January showed it was repaired with a new rear panel) although still with Coach USA colors. 21248 was last seen at the Suburban Transit overflow lot in late 2022. I'm wondering if they're just running the 9000s and 7100s until their inspections expire or as long as they're good for. Wayne is at nearly 250 buses now so I doubt the number will stay that high. I also remember Wayne was originally supposed to get 21191-21240 (which is 50 buses) back in early 2021 - guessing this means Wayne will get 50 of the ex-private carriers 21000s.
  9. I haven't checked the Suburban Transit overflow lot since late 2022 - there were a couple 17000s and 5 19000s there at that time (as well as the fire-damaged 21248). I wonder if anyone here has driven past there recently and got a count of the buses they have there. Also since the majority of Suburban's 21000s are now back with NJT I wonder what Suburban is operating now - mostly 20000s? I feel some of their 17000s should also be back in service.
  10. 21245 rear end is repaired following the December 2021 fire. The new rear panel is a completely different design with MCI logo in the left upper, similar to the 7100s.
  11. Are 21291, 21293, and 21303 staying with Academy and not returning to NJT? Looks like they are still assigned to Academy and are active.
  12. I was in Medellin, Colombia earlier this year, and they have a very interesting transit system. I made a post on the CPTDB worldwide forum recently, here are my observations: The Metroplus system is a BRT-style system serving much of the city. Equipment includes artics, BYD electric buses, and other models. I believe there are two lines (1 and 2) which circulate the city in opposite directions. All buses are high-floor and have doors for boarding on both sides; some of the doors (especially on the left side) are not at curb level in order to board from the raised station platforms. Most of the Metroplus fleet is painted in the default Medellin Metro livery with a yellow and green stripe. However, the BYD electric buses feature special wraps highlighting that the bus is 100% electric. Some examples are shown below. Leaves livery: Clouds livery: Trees livery: The BRT stations are fully enclosed past the turnstiles. Doors on the side of the stations open along with the bus doors. I rode the diesel artics, although I didn't get any photos of them. The buses have interior LED display screens and automated stop announcements. I believe Medellin received 64 BYD electric artics a few years back, but I did not see any during my time there. The city also has an extensive rail system; I didn't get any photos of the trains either. Buses approaching Palos Verdes station: Palos Verdes station entry: System map: In addition to the Metroplus system, Medellin Metro operates smaller buses too, notably DINA Runner 8G buses. The rims on these remind me of US-style Alcoas, not sure if they're the exact rims though. A few examples of the Runner 8G buses: In addition to the Medellin Metro system, there are a number of smaller carriers in the area operating smaller buses. A lot of the equipment used by these carriers are Marcopolo/Isuzu NPR-bodied buses. Some examples are shown below. Coopetransa: Bus #329 (a red/white livery unit): A green/white livery unit: Bellanita Group (based in Bello): Pictured below are two southbound buses (#303 and #237) stopping at Carrera 64C/Calle 104 between Bello and Medellin. Combuses S.A. #703 at MDE airport: Enjoy!
  13. Looks like 21265 (ex-Suburban) was repainted into NJT colors but with a twist - it has a black back, but only the center panel. The rest of the rear is white. Looks like it may have been from a retired unit (19137 or 16003 comes to mind) since there's only one vent up by the amber lights when there's usually two. Black back, white back, and now we have partial black back. Will we eventually see a black back with white center?
  14. 0126-0130 entered service today! Some differences from Year 1: smooth flooring (as opposed to ribbed flooring), AC vent filters, grab handle by front door, and destination signs display "STOP" when bus is stopped.
  15. Thankfully the newer of the two buses (20081) survived. It was only a few months old at the time.
  16. Year 2 (0126-0130) is ready for service. Originally delivered as 4126-4130 but renumbered due to numbering conflict.
  17. Looks like the 5500s and 6400s that went to Academy are also back to NJT now. Does anyone know what garage they went to, or did they just return to their previous garage (in the case of the 5500s)?
  18. Yup, 6512 is now at Fairview. My guess is the 6500s will be replacing Fairview's 5200s.
  19. 4127 and 4128 delivered. They're gonna have to figure something out with the number overlap with Newark's 4127-4133. Coincidentally, 4127 (1st) and 4127 (2nd) were seen parked next to each other
  20. Year 2 deliveries are underway. 4126 was spotted en route to NJ in the Mojave desert:
  21. My guess is that all stainless steel 21000s for private carriers (21243-21245, 21247-21300, 21303-21306) will be returning to NJT. This gives a total of about 60 buses, and combined with the 50 DeCamp 17000s I wouldn't be surprised if the CRT order gets cancelled (although not sure if 21245 and 21248 have been fixed since the fires though).
  22. All buses up to 26016 are delivered. All buses up to 26013 are active. Liveries of newly active units are listed below. 26006: default 26010: Frick Chemistry Lab Atrium 26011: Princeton Solar Collector Field 26012: Lewis Arts Complex All ex-OCTA D40LFs have been retired. It's about time...the oldest are now 28 years old.
  23. I guess they were parked there but not to be retired. I saw 9010 tracking a few days ago back on a Wayne route.
  24. Per a Facebook post, 6 1998-2000 MCI 102-DWA3 CNGs were spotted at an empty mill south of Ball Ground, GA. 7035, 7036, and 7039 were among those parked there.
