  1. Welcome to my personal Blog, where I voice my opinions about things that affect mass transit or the general public, completely uncensored and raw. You may choose to comment on my opinions any way you wish.
  2. So, as we all know, this past Tuesday, a man known as Frank James opened fire on a packed rush hour service headed for Manhattan. He has since been arrested. I feel like it was only a matter of time until a mass shooting on a subway train in the city was going to occur, I just didn't know when. Now that we've seen the outcome of this horrendous attack, here are some proposals I came up with to make the subway safer. You can comment on my proposals and give constructive criticism if you wish. Dog sniffing and more frequent cargo searches by NYPD must be conducted at stations. If someone has a lethal weapon on them and are carrying it illegally, the NYPD can carry out a bag search and possibly nab a suspect. Dog sniffers could probably do the same, although I know that they're mainly trained to find drugs. Sensors at turnstiles could also be a thing, but this may be quite expensive to install in a system with almost 500 subway stations. If the TA got enough funding, they would be able to install these sensors at turnstiles, gates and revolving doors. For now, that's all I have. Please comment below on what you think about my ideas!

  13. Never knew LIRR sent their retired cars out internationally, interesting
  14. the guy who got pulled off at 145th Street works at 2 Broadway....Needless to say, Allied Universal refused to believe this and subsequently lost their contract with the MTA...We wont be seeing them anytime soon
  15. What happened at the runs today was entirely unacceptable... as a witness I have to ask myself if this is how parents treat their kids to act in public. I took my brother out to the runs as a surprise, not for him to see violence.

  17. DJ Hammers said they moved to Concourse Yard, that's also where the set of R42's came from.
  18. I guess the A would be a prime pick considering the J/Z use R143's during rush and sometimes other points of the day. I'd probably send them to Lefferts though and leave the R46's and R179's to the rockaway branches
  19. I feel like the could use some extra R32's to help with service... even though the MTA said that C and F service would be restored soon, it still hasn't changed much...As a usual rider of the C line, i feel like 32's would be really useful during the rush hour periods of the day as to not stress them out too much and have breakdowns left and right
  20. about being fired from NYCTA 12 years ago, i don't know if there's anything we can do about it...this is an unofficial forum site, that doesnt mean other workers arent here though, you just gonna have to find em.
