Hey guys any updates? Hows class? 

Hey guys just an update, went in today and come to find out. I had to redo all the paper work I had filled back in September in addition to other drug test. The only good news is I saw my list number in the 70's and got to see the department I am placed at for now which is Elevators & Escalators. Lets see how long before they actually give us a start day.

The email was structured just like the drug test. With the same info and a link on what to bring. Same as before License, Diploma, etc etc.  The email Reads" NYCT Provisional Transit Electrical Helper Canvas Letter/Appointment Ticket" in the sub title. I read it and had no fingerprint info. Maybe Monday it will be discussed. Hope so.

That’s a good thing if you did drug test and you received the email for background check you most likely going in Monday for the final processing then she’ll let you know when you start. She said there’s an upcoming class in about a week or two right after the class that’s going in the fourth. I went in today for final processing and start Jan 04. 

O snap! I hope so. One question is the final processing an interview? Or it just paper work and they tell you where you will be placed? 

Hey guys I just got an email a few mins ago, to come in on the Monday the 4th. Not so sure on what stage I might be on. As I took a drug test a while back.

I have no idea, they didn't tell me and I haven't gotten anything in the mail.

How often are we suppose to follow up with Michelle to get an appointment for the drug test/medical? 

You might want to email her to check. I remember when I submitted the paper work I got an email a few days latter but I had to call them to just check if they got the email. I got the email in Sep then a week latter took the drug test.

I was placed in power, within power they have other sections such as cables, testing, zones, and system operations. I was placed in system operations, the department is short staffed and are pushing people to move up fast, my helper class is taking some classes maintainer  classes take that’s how much they are rushing I would love to see some of you in this department. I have friends in elevator and escalators and other departments and for some reason you have to take a test to get transferred to power if you already in other department and many fail and idk why... so maybe you could ask you get placed here in the first place if you wish I promise you will not regret it.  But regardless you guys have a foot in already congrats brothers welcome it’s uphill from here.

Wasn’t given No option for later date was asked  if I was able to start the date they gave.  wasn’t going to turn away the opportunity never know how long till they contact back if you do defer for a future class. On my letter it says for elevator and escalator dept but heard stories that sometimes you get placed in other depts other than the one that was listed in your offer letter so won’t know until final paperwork 

Wow super nice man! Thats a great department btw. Yea you got that right, you never know with them. O well I think I should be getting called soon as they called me two days ago to contact my previous employer. Thanks!

Hey guys any thing if you can start a latter date? Did you have an option? As well do you guys know what unit your going to be assigned to? Congrats! 

Nothing yet on my end, Got the canvassing email on 09/18, send in the paper work the next day. Then went in for a drug test 9/28 and was told to wait 30 days or so until I would hear back. Till this day I been waiting its been 30 days already. Guess we are going to get called up mid Nov or by the end of Nov. Anyone else playing the waiting game?
