Most veterans are cool. I had 7 nice ones (A division) But remember what you learned in school car some can be a little fast. Don't pick up other's habits You'll go where they send you. No assigned positions. You'll get your schedule every 2 days and RDOs you'll get on Friday for the following week. Good luck. I've been out for about 7-8 weeks I've been at terminals in the Bronx but you never know

You can wear it in th classroom for warmth like a jacket but not as part of the uniform

I got the high waisted flare ir boot cut pixie pants in navy. They have great stretch you'll need that climbing up and down the trains in the yard. The shoes I bought were the unisex ones that say they are light weight...they all suck lol the shirts from the Amazon everyday fashion section. Order them soon the birth sell out and though they are prime delivery is slow. Get a navy cardigan too the classrooms can be chilly

Lol!! I still dont have any!! Get at least 3 of each. Cause the yards ate dirty lol it is the train after all lol I have like 4 shirts and 3 pants. Pants from Old Navy and shirts from Amazon We got measured in school car but nothing yet

You can have a backpack you list have to be able to tuck the straps in. Because you cannot have straps on the tracks or in the yard...dragging hazzard

That I don't know. It's not a breathalyzer test so don't worry. Unless you drank ALOT! LOL!!! I didn't register any alcohol levels they were concerned with. So don't worry

Well that's great!!! Shoot I had to have a sleep study done and meet with a drug counselor (eye roll) cause I failed a drug test with MTA years ago for mnot peeing enough in the cup. So you got this! I finished class in June I'm in A division feel free to hit me up anytime

Improperly zoned trains no problem. Just know which direction you are going in and make sure the 6th car is zoned up. If it us the MDC will be in term. If not then the other car is zoned up. If doors are open announce doors will be closing and reopening sweep platform close rear to front. Rezone and zone up the correct position. Open window!!! Aknowledge the conductor board and insert MDC turn to run and open up. Station stops, leaving the terminal, short stops, station overruns and definitely cutting out doors and car isolation

They will tell you. Depends on what schedule you are on the previous week. Don't get "nailed" to that schedule it is subject to change
