Salary range is just that; they may offer anything in that range. Unfortunately, current employees tend to get the short end of that stick because promotional raises tend to be based on a percentage of current salary as opposed to a budgeted figure. Compression salary is when a whole title or group is brought to the same matching salary. No negotiation, that's the rate.

The only time I've seen that other column "Screeninh Results: Passed" in addition to "Status: Passed Prescreening" (as opposed to Applied or Position Filled" were on 2 positions I applied for that were reposted. My theory is that perhaps it's used as a secondary check if they run all of the original applications again for the second round posting. I have nothing to base that off of except supposition. Either way, just wait to be contacted. I've had numerous Passed Prescreening which just means you've answered the checkbox questions correctly, and haven't heard a word. But I've also been interviewed for positions where it never even changed status to Passed Prescreening.

100% this. Take your previous experience and tailor the descriptions to match theirs. Copy and paste if needed so the computer picks up they key words and phrases.

You won't hear anything until they are ready to start the process, but once you do, expect everything to happen quickly.

My experience and probably many others too, has been that you'll expect a long wait, but once the process gets going everything will come quickly.

I do see at least once a day MTAPD meeting Metro North trains to remove customers for noncompliance with mask policy. But I can see why some conductors shy away from getting involved after a year and a half, same as your average retail customer who is sick of having arguments with customers day after day about policies they didn't write, or being recorded for some YouTube video about the oppressive government mandate. Etc.

I think he's looking ahead and doesn't expect to be governor when the project is actually completed, so he has this press conference to claim the project for his legacy instead of the next gov.

The only way I see this system working is if the ticket defaults to the highest fare (ie. City Terminal or farthest zone east) and holds unless you scan out at a station, or have the ability to read and confirm monthly access. Otherwise it is going to be a nightmare getting out of Penn or Atlantic. Coming into stations people are spread out by arrival time, and it won't be as much of an issue at the non-terminal stations. Still need conductors on the train to ensure fares were paid and perform all of their other safety and supervision functions.

New hire here, slated to start next week in the Office of System Safety for MMRR. While I await the emails from the railroad, does anyone have any insight on the dress code for Field Safety Managers at MNRR, or whether the position is issued a uniform or job shirt? It appears to be a mix of office and field work. Just don't want to scramble to purchase anything the day of orientation if I can avoid it. Thanks in advance.
