Did They gave you a paper? Medical clearance paper. All you should have done is go with said paper and tell them that you have the clearance of your doctor. No need to wait. That paper is your ticket in. Go go go.

Has Anyone X-crossing over got called for 2nd day processing? or anything? Not sure how it works but a lot of people were doing the x-over on the 1st day drug screening. I haven't heard nothing since. Are they just hiring new people and forgot about us? What's the point if they not even going to call us?

You have to have a good health insurance for this. I worked at another city agency at the time and did not pay a thing, but co-pay. This might be a setback for people that don't have good insurance. Sleep apnea study is not cheap. Either that or focus on losing weight lol.

At the time I was going for "MTA Bus company" the Sleep Apnea doctor told me he needs to do some testing, so I went for it. Turns out I have a mild sleep apnea disorder, so now I use a c-pap machine the doctor prescribed. I have quality sleep and trust me you going to need it as a rookie with all the weird schedules out there. So, keep that slip they gave you once you clear by the sleep apnea doctor you just need to go with the forms - keep in mind it might take 6 months to clear a sleep apnea doctor-. Also, once you clear you will take another drug test and another physical to talk to the same or different doctor at the mac. Back to my "MTA bus company" Story...I went back with the clear forms, and I happened to take a Mabstoa exam 3 years ago, so I qualify for both classes. I took Mabstoa and I passed drug test physical and showed the doctor the sleep apnea clearance - went express after that... So, bro... don't give up. Any sleep apnea doctor will do. Keep in mind that you are on an eligibility list until 7/20/2026 and that there are 4 exams to be stablish, you got this man. Just keep your license clean until you make it. HOPE this helps others that are BMI heavy! to get that sleep apnea study and are still waiting. "I don't SNORE" people.

Andy here! So I'm doing the X-Crossover to the T/A side only got 7 moths on O/A Got called to do the 1st day drug test. I got my reasons to do the X-Crossover let's just say - previous "Civil Service" job-. With that said I went this month for day 1 on the 15th still waiting for day 2, and I can say this - is not like people "on the job" have priority or preference - at the MAC now for those who are still waiting to be called here are some tips. 1) Clean Driving record - pay all tickets or violations asap and no more than 4 points on your record 2) Covid Vaccine - they will not respect your "Religious Accommodations" period P-E-R-I-O-D. You're wasting your time! get vaccinated. 3) If your Overweight, and you snore! get that Sleep Apnea Check ASAP. You can pass everything else on your Physical, and you can say "I don't snore", your weight is a giveaway -BMI - for sleep apnea study, and they will want something by your doctor. it could take 6 months for a sleep apnea study. 4) Make sure you got your Social, US Passport, CDL up to date. bring original not copy. DO NOT BRING A COPY ! ...NEXT!!! 5) Go EARLY! you will Spend all day here. but at least you will walk out while there is daylight. EXTRA EARLY!!! 6) Bring Water... Drug Test. You can't hold it all day... LOL

Hey Bro. @+Young+ so I was called on to MABSTOA. I was able to pick Grand Av. I finish my 7 days and I'm with a Mentor. I received the eligle list for TA in the mail today for exam 2611. Pass with a 91 score and list #1XX Question is how do I transfer over to TA? I have not yet graduated. Do I wait for 180 Livingston Letter "invite" 🤔? Do I wait until I get my shield? Will I be able to stay in Grand if I Switch over? Is the switch worth it?

How does one Study for this exam? Is there a rule of thumb or classes 🤔? Please advise.

All this exam are almost the same thing... Will try to apply for the next available one, And increase my chances. The next one migth be posted in June sometime.

Got and envelope in the mail with my list # today I already knew it but it came with a phone number. Wich I will use to call once I get out of my medical hold....also TA exam is out there to apply and take in the oficial website better make the best of it.

I got a call text and email for Bus Operator, Exam No. 2611. May 14. 0830 am. This is TA. Better score high because this is one is the mportant one than the others. I did the MTa bus company process got so close to get in to the next class but the physical main doctor told me to get a sleep apnea exam. I have sleep apnea...but I'm not disqualified just yet...Basically my doctor has to clear me for using CPAP machine 30 DAYS or so. So if your BMI body mass weight is high and you snore - better get that check it takes a long time. To get the machine and the sleep study. If you got no insurance you going to have a tough time. Go to your primary and get that check -big people out there- So good luck 👍 get those ayes and ear checked. And good luck trying to get a response from 180 Livingston.

@Aa3223 yep sound about rigth. Just keep trying to give them a call or leave a message. Eventually they will listen, everyone is going to something with this people; Lost social, sleep apnea doctor. Points or no point just keep trying. By the way having sleep apnea does not disqualified you. You just have to follow with the doc, and their MTA physician.

@Kennedynice. All i need to pass Physical is this sleep study. Going to take about a month with 2 nigth sleep and the follow up with the doc in April. Plus me trying to get back to 180 Livingston. Annoying but at least I'm still working plus I apply for the TA exam so I'm taking my time...

If you Pass Physical just go! called out sick or something! If this is what you want dont let it go. Once you are in training decide what you want to do.

Don't give notice untill you pass Physical and Training....Just check your email often. @Scr100 Training is 10 days. Just call out 7 days not counting weekends...you don’t want to quit untill you pass Training.

They don't even answer the phone or any of our e-mails , 😒 🙄 you think they will read the policy 😅. Lol

I need to clear "Medical Hold" before training. What if I can't complete it untill next month? one doc said untill next month for an appointment and about a week or 2 for results.. What should I do? I was scheduled for the 27 of this month but never received an address it just says you are "being considered" I don't think I'll make it on time with this sleep study. basibasically just wait untill I clear this.

Yeah. I understand. Look I'm just as frustrated as anyone else with all this process. The waiting, the follow ups. My current job. The drug exams. The not answering the phone... Etc. Basically i went there for a Physical evaluation not knowing that they will trow yet another curb ball. They just doing their job. Honestly though I was one that fell in their "criteria" but even the doc said I migth not even be anything. Maybe you won't fall in their criteria. But I wouldn't go to one just to save time because you need to hear it from them first...because honestly you don't know when they will schedule you to go for 1st day... if you want to save time I will recommend to check your vision or hearing....because you could also be on a "medical hold" for that as well. 1st how will I know before hand about it...if is the 1st time someone ever ask me that? And 2nd google sleep doctor exam near me. Lol. 😂 the slip says "show it to your doctor." I'm just going with the process. Is annoying yes...

I use corrective lenses and I pass their vision test. If you feel you need better ones then do so.

For a Sleep test ....nope. Their doctor will have to determine that and will give you a slip of what they looking for. Is just time consuming yes, but go with what they tell you. Physical consist in Electrocardiogram, vision and hearing. So get those glasses check. Also I'm on "Medical Hold" until I pass.
