Hello i am getting called from the civil service list for a skilled trade job with a NYC agency, not NYC transit. I am currently on probation with an MTA agency(6 months in), can the MTA hold me back from moving to the NYC employer, since I haven’t been there for 1 year yet? Or is that 1 year rule only between different MTA agencies and for promotions?

Hello i checked OASYS and the list has been created from the exam last November. I scored in the top ten which is awesome, so what happens next? does the city just send me an email with a particular job.. and if I pass a medical screen, I report for work? Do they call me for an interview for whatever agency has an opening, and I compete with other candidates from the same list? just want to know what to expect next. thank you

Hello, I am an electrician (18 years IBEW Local 3) and have been applying to different MTA electrical jobs. Power Lineman, M & E Electrician, Electrical Maintainer, Etc. I have been applying to each job steadily as they have been posted in the careers section for the last few months, but haven't gotten a call back yet. In my Jobs Submitted page, it says Passed Prescreening. anyone know how long it is taking them to call, or have a HR number for me to call to follow up? thx Mike
