After the Concorde retired in 2003 (the jet, not the Chrysler car), there has been no real replacement for this one of a kind beast. Why is that? In a way, it seems like were regressed back 30 years after retiring these planes without any new models to replace it. Is Boeing or Airbus working on a Next Generation passenger Jet that is Supersonic in nature?

If there's a market for a service to and from the Bronx, I'd say explore it. Besides, NICE is consider (albeit more long-term) to have express bus service to Manhattan in the future. This is based off that idea except it would use local 40 footer buses (maybe artics if the ridership is there). It would also have some closed door segments like other Queens bound lines.

Well, everything in general is going up in prices so you point almost seems moot now doesn't it?
