Thanks bro! Been in training since the 10th of April and it’s been good so far. A lot of information the first week and been learning how to couple the trains and put them back together. Trying to study the signals as well.

42xx I was called last year and placed on medical hold on June. By the time I went to get it cleared I was removed from the list and had to get it re-added to the list. They contacted me on march 10th when the list came from decas to go in for drug test on march 20th and got appointed on march 31st for the April 10th class.

I have been called for April 10th class and I believe the classes are full.

Hello all, I went to the S&D on 3/19/2023 and supposed to take the test on 4/23 and was studying for the test. However I took the train operator test for the MTA NYC transit back in June of 2017 and was just officially appointed on 3/31 as a train operator for the MTA NYC transit. Not sure if I should still take the test even though I saw NYCT pays more at the beginning than LIRR or should I reach out to LIRR and withdraw my application and stick with NYCT. Any advise would be good.

First day they have me going to brooklyn heights at TWA local 100 union hall. Then the next day going to the school on west 13th st brooklyn.

Hello all 40xx here, after being placed on medical hold and having my medical hold cleared last year in June. My name fell off the decas list so they could not proceed with my hiring process and was told that I had to wait until they get the new list from decas. Got a call on 3/10 telling me to come in on march 20th for drug test then I got an email to come in on march 31 for final processing. After a few hours there I have been appointed for train operator and class starts on April 10th. Anyone can tell me what to expect on the first day of class?

I’m in the exact situation as you. I was placed on medical hold due to me having to do a sleep study. It resulted that I had to use a CPAP machine for 30 days. I finally got my medical clearance on Friday so I schedule my appointment for yesterday to have my medical hold released (which it was released) then I was called by Ms. Olha and she told me that they could not continue with my application because DCAS had removed my name from the list. That I had to email DCAS so my name could be reinstated. Instead of emailing DCAS I went to the DCAS office in Manhattan and they had reinstated my name and that I had to wait until MTA went through the current list and when they get the new list I’d be on it. I was also told that the exam was extended.

Anything higher than 35 BMI and anything bigger than 17 on the neck they will want you to do a sleep study.
