If I hated the Subway why would I photograph it
For me, the Subway, the railroads, here and elsewhere are something I photograph for fun, I travel the rails for fun, I like to look out the window and watch the scenery go by. I don't however use mass transit to get to work, or anywhere else that isn't for photography, for two reasons: #1 I prefer the privacy of my own car and #2 if I rode it all the time, it would be less fun, and more of a day to day hassle. Today marks 3 years since I started actively railfanning and getting train photos. Since that time Ive travelled to a lot of interesting places in New York City and in the New York area, and I have met a lot of great friends
I wanna give a special thanks to my railfan friends who gave me lots of great advice and suggestions and who've accompanied me on some of my photo trips to get some of the hard to reach places on the subway. I've learned a lot in that timeframe, and I also hope... -
