  1. Dan! Happy birthday my dude!!

  2. haha, I know, same could be said for me. But yes, it was nice meeting ya as well! Gotta do that again sometime soon

  3. And even then, you will need the proper lens for one to shoot moving trains underground (or be able to work with one have, but some lens just don't work for the underground movement).
  4. Nice meeting you too!

  5. Definitely a strange story indeed.

Thanks 70(EE), you have a great day too.

  6. Yeah, it was like the first thing I woke up to this morning. I haven't read the whole story behind it but I don't think I want to know. I think the images did justice because thats just ridiculous. Totally killed the AM rush for NWK-WTC service. It's usually around that time too that I would take the PATH to Newark, but only on mondays if I have to go back to New Brunswick.

  7. OMG no. And I live down the street from there.

  8. Happy New Year to ya (EE)!

My bird Paulina is doing great, crazy as she can ever be. :)

  9. Well I'll take a crack at this in terms of getting the subway shots you want. With the lens being wide-open like that at F/1.8, it allows for more light and therefore using rather reasonale shutter speeds for underground shots and moving trains. I don't have a lens such as that you describe but I do plan on getting on for the DSLR I have because the 3200 level ISO that is on my camera isn't enough for really well lit underground photos of moving trains.....
  10. eh, I don't care too much for the Beacon, although it seems done, they just have some other work that needs to be done from what I observe when I pass it. Those bus route you said still stand. And the 125 has always suck during the weekends (and weekday service isn't that much better). Weekend schedule has been the same for a few years now.

  11. Well alright! And bushwick? I think you mean Brunswick! NEW Brunswick at that. Now thats getting Arab Money! LOL!

  12. Yup, still with the #4. But I've been impressed with Red & Tan lately, they made a schedule change this past May and it has held up well for the most part. They finally realized that sometimes the trip from Merritt Street to Newport Mall is not possible in 30 minutes, so they timed the trip for 35 minutes and give drivers a layover of 10 minutes at each end to make up if they fall behind. Although headways were cut abit, at least the service has been more reliable. But sadly the same can't be said for the #10 which they really screwed up. In other news, I have service to Journal Square in my area again with the extension of the 6.

  13. Hey EE, I've been good man, just dealing with school and work. How you've been?

  14. For a moment I thought this was going to be about a DSLR camera, like the EVOLT E-510....
  15. Haha! Awesome video you have there Fred.....

  16. Thanks Andy! One could make it so that you don't have desktop icons, but I have all the ones there because its easy for me to use the programs that I want and use frequently. I make them so the most I use most have more priority, and also have it so that it fits in well with the photo (i.e. surround the object with the icons, like not having icons right on the subject, my desktop images are a good example).
  17. Heres a few of my recent and my current one now: Desktop during October and into November. A shot that I took about a week ago and put as desktop. And my current desktop. Photo shot yesterday.
  18. Problem with the North Shore Line is that houses and parks were built over it, and built over so well you can't tell a rail line was ever there (I was at the ERA meeting this past friday and they showcased some photos from the past when the North Shore Line was abandoned but still there and what it is today), and like Andy said, most of it is washed away. The only station that remains well is the Port Richmond stop. Would make for a perfect light rail stop, getting there would be the problem.
  19. Theres a similar thread here: http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4477 But anyways, I'm packing a Panasonic DMC-FZ8 (discontinued in favor for the FZ18, and at that know someone who has one and I rather the FZ8 over the FZ18). Hoping to move on soon to a DSLR though. Gonna keep the Panasonic for video purposes though, and when I'm not carrying the DSLR.
  20. Me is keeping it simple because I just can't possibly choose any of my photos....
