I liked that 8756. Not really too much in terms of sound effects but it ran nicely.

It's a shame why this great group is not in the Rock Hall of Fame? Yet someone like Madonna(no offense to fans of her's)who was mostly a Pop/Dance/R&B singer in her carrer is in the Rock Hall.Still enjoy this great band.

IMO ELO is one of the most underrated bands of all time. So many great songs and never even a number one hit. They have so many great songs that were barely hits period.

9339 and 9352 are now at the FP depot. Info again from Buschat. Also 9343 and 9355 now have FP stickers on them.

That 9339 sure gets around. In the last 6 months it went from ENY to QV to FP.

JG got some buses back from WF when they took over the B43.

Coldplay's new single, "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall". The new album is scheduled to be released this summer.

 

I don't care what anyone says about Coldplay or this song. It's a bit different than your typical Coldplay song - more pop/synthesized-based - but upon hearing it, I immediately liked it a lot. It's very catchy as well.

 

 

While i'm not into new music I will have to say that doesn't sound too bad.

In my opinion the strip maps are just as effective as the FINDs in showing the stations where the train will stop. The person has to be stupid in order not to understand what the strip map is showing. The FINDs can be harder to figure out, in that respect, though they're better in showing how many stops until the stop you wanna get off. Even if someone doesn't realize how the strip maps work right away, after a couple of stops he or she will be used to them. I'm not saying that the 7 should get strip maps. I prefer anything that's newer technology over older. But, we should also think on how much it's worth it for the to waste money especially since these trains cannot be rerouted to another line. There are other things around the system on which they can spend money that are far more urgent, I believe.

However just because these trains are going to be on the 7 now it doesnt mean that 20 years down the road they can't get bumped to the 5. FINDs will make it easier if the trains have to switch lines.

8752 was on the B41 this morning.

It looks like JFK sent about 2-5 O-5s to ECH scrap so LGA is going to send hybrids to JFK to replace the lost O-5s. I could be wrong. However.

Well if thats the case I won't be surprised. Those 5900's are falling apart and need to go.

#937 from Jg depot is at ulmer park its sitting infront and #6610 is at ulmer park inside .

Well the first ones to go would be 8752 & 8753 since those are the oldest we got (and the 2nd and 3rd oldest buses in the fleet)

IMO if there are buses that are in worse shape than those two you may see them stay on the road a little longer.

so when NGs arrive Fresh Pond, do they throw out 87xx, 88xx 89xx, 90xx, 91xx RTS's and send them to MTA BUS?

I can't say anything for sure but my guess is since its only 30 buses that they will knock out the worst of the 96 RTS'.
