Have they ever modeled the modern sets (i.e. R-142, 143, 160)? If so, they'll look great on my desk!
The most recent set that was released was a set of R-62's, with sound an signage for the Train:
MTH Will in fact be producing a 5 car set of R-142A's; Probably with sound and signage for the Line:
This is the mock up model from the catalog-

OH MY GOD!!!!! Were did you get the front rollsign and the B signs. Are they from an R44 or 46. That is so cool!
Haha, I knew you'd like it. I bought the front R40 Slant/R40M/R42 rollsign off ebay. The older ( signs and the & Signs are from ebay as well, from R46'S. The shorter black and white "R68" Text type rollsigns that display the ((Qx) routes, I actually went to a sign shop and had made up for my personal use.

Nice bunch of maps, I have a few recent ones and some from the ealry 90's. I was always more into the rollsigns and other equipment. If any one has more rollsigns, please post some pictures of them!
Ok, You asked:

You think the SIR is bad?
Try getting around by bus on SI..during any weekend. The headways are the worst! The MTA just needs increases every on SI. We need more limited service as well, but of course they'll never see that until a crush-loaded bus crashes with people standing up to the front doorway.
The MTA must think that every single person living on Staten Island drives which is definitely not the case. My little cousin who uses public transportation in Staten Island is always complaining about it. He can't wait to get a car whenever that may be.Can't agree more, with the both of you..

Oh, i see. It's a shortcut problem.
Go to C:\Program Files\BVE\, and then right click on bve.exe, then click Send to, then Desktop(Create shortcut), then you will have a new working shortcut!
Thank you sir, for you help. Its working yet again
Maybe you can also tell me why my Bay Ridge Shuttle R Train Route isn't working:confused:

Hit the "Print Scrn" key when you want to take a screenshot of what your problem is then open paint and "control V" to paste it and save it.
Awesome man. Thanks alot
heres my BVE problem :

Can you provide a screenshot?
But the message sounds kind of strange. BTW, do you use BVE Route Randomizer?
How do I take a screenshot? ya its weird.. No route randomizer.

If anyone who has BVE here on the boards, I was wondering if anyone can assist me on some trouble-shooting methods, as to why my BVE won't load. Everytime, I click the shortcut on my start menu , it states in a box with a red X
" The System cannot write to the specified device"
please help

Rumor has it, by 2010, the SIR's R44s are to be replaced ( Either hand me downs from the subway, or ; in actuality new cars) However, rumors were flying around that there was an order for brand new 75' cars for Staten Island; who knows? I can't stand the SIR's R44's, and Ive been riding them for 20+ years..

Weekend service needs an extension; hands down!
Extra Express service, is a great step in the right direction, but, still- 30 minute weekend headways is way too long....
They never get it , do they? MTA SIR has the ridership for at least minimum 20 minute weekend headways, and if they really want to be nice, every 15 minutes. The 30 minute headways will eventually have to go; Staten Island is booming with thousands moving in (with little room, left on the island that is; they should tear down whatever 6 trees are left on the island , and build more houses) but, more people, means more mass transit, which means, MTA , get a step on it, and expand weekend service!

Hot set right Pablo?!
Thanks man!

Yeah, Pictures 9 through 11, were taken at my old residency when I lived on Staten Island. They were on "display tracks", that I mounted on my wall. But sure, you can definitely build a shelf layout throughout your room, and make it work.
The R-40 Slants were SUPPOSED to be out by this month (December 2007), but now I hear, they were pushed back till March of 2008.
The R-142A's are Supposedly due out next month - January 2008
