  1. @ThrexxBus, I agree with checkmatechamp13. It's an underutilized route. However I also see your point about the B30. It evens itself out in the Kings Highway area. Also, yes - Rush hour or through the weekday. Or both, with half of weekday & Rush hour LTD trips to C.I. and the other half to Ceasar's Bay/Bay 38th St. Something I believe you pointed out. And I am not totally insane... just a little bit insane... just kidding! Also @checkmatechamp13, I like your signature about crowded buses... Totally agree!
  2. The B82 to Gateway is just a feeling (fantasy of sorts), not something I really would enjoy. You brought a good reason to the table for no B6 LTD to C.I. full time, though it's one I cannot fully agree with, because it should be more than just a summer extension. Maybe Rush hours as well? And the B30 is long too, the B6 LTD (only) to C.I. making that much of a difference in length? I don't think so. Also, do you think that a B31 extension to C.I. is more valuable than adding extra buses on the B30?
  3. The B30 route you have sounds like a good idea. The truncation of the B82 is something I have never been a fan of. However your idea of extending some trips to Coney Island seems like a plausible replacement, though I would modify the structuring of trips to C.I. I think the B6 LTD should be extended to C.I., with Local buses making the short trips to Bensonhurst via it's current routing. I would have B6 LTD service west of C.I. Avenue extended to Bay 38th St/Ceasar's Bay as follows; McDonald Av , 60th St, W 8th St , Bay Ridge Pkwy, 86th St, Benson Av (only WB, cause you can catch the B64 at Bay 38th St going EB), Ceasar's Bay (WB)/Bay 38th St (EB), then all stops. If the B30 was to be implemented in reality, it should be split between Flatbush and Ulmer Park. If the B6 was changed in the way I just mentioned, it should be split between ENY and Ulmer Park. Your idea for the B82 as mentioned, leaves me with the feeling that it should be extended to Gateway Mall, as well as operated out of Spring Creek. The B31 should be kept as is, they can transfer for the B30 @ Kings Highway Station. It seems to require extra buses that the MTA might not have. The B33 sounds interesting, and I agree with Via Garibaldi 8, not sure about passenger gains, but it's a relief for the B36, and a ways to relieve the elimination of the B4. Though the B4 should be restored reguardless, this is an alternative of some sorts. This should be run out of Ulmer Park.
  4. I was gonna write "Williamsburg Bridge Plaza" first, but I wanted to play devil's advocate. I think that WBP is a better ending for the B69. I also wonder if service should be brought to Greenpoint (the NY Waterway ferry stop over there). Would that be a needed extension? I'm not familiar with that area, and this is just an idea that I wanted to bring up to the forum.
  5. I have one other idea for the B69. Terminal moved to Brooklyn Bridge Pier. Though your idea sounds feasible.
  6. I agree with your plans on the B6 LTD. I also agree with your opinion about a B8 LTD, it's as unnecessary as the B49 LTD during rush hour or otherwise, in my opinion. I definitely do not agree with your opinion on the B41 LTD's out of Bergen Bch. I believe that those Limited's are better served at Kings Plaza, as LCL's and LTD's, because of the lack of B41's at Kings Plaza. No comments on the B46 or B44. B82 LTD service should be expanded. It's a beneficial service no doubt and I agree with the way you would handle expansion.
  7. When MTA Bus and NYCT Bus merge, there should be a lot of depot moves. The (B100) is a big example of that. It should be in Flatbush Depot.
  8. I meant "is". I knew I would get this type of reaction when I posted it, through a misunderstanding. I believe that this should be in the topic, because if the MTA did this, reorganization of bus service would be a lot easier, and cheaper for the MTA.
  9. I think that the best way to improve bus service in Brooklyn is to add a East-West subway line. Triboro RX anyone? I actually created an expansion to that idea called the "Quadboro RX". Here's a map. Take a look at it and tell me what you think. Oh, I know this was a Brooklyn bus ideas thread, but I think that this is way bigger than reorganization of bus service.
  10. This has happened to me as well in the past. The reason it happens is because when you have saved the route, Content Manager converts the route into a version that is not listed as your asset. This is done for reasons that are unknown. Trainz always loads the saved asset in the simulator. Sometimes, whether CM crashes, or just does not want to be your friend, that saved file gets corrupted. Your result is that picture. To fix this issue is tedious, and requires you to find the saved file that CM converted, and edit the kuid of the file. Since I do not have Trainz installed on my PC anymore, can someone elaborate the instructions on how to do this if it's possible? Trainguy97's reason is also a possibility as well. A missing or faulty asset can do this as well.
  11. I can reroute my map with those changes mentioned by BrooklynBus and you. I don't travel the area, so maybe I should on my free time. As for the "big hole" that I mentioned in my last post, I do agree that there is something missing from that area, but I don't know where it would go. As for the B82/B64 debate, I personally love the B82 route as a service that is a full-time limited short of being an alternate route to a non-existent subway line. Even though I think that the idea named the Triboro RX would be a great replacement, I can be content with the B82 as is. I like the B82 in Coney Island, and that's where it should stay until a crosstown subway is created in that area.
  12. I said Fillmore Avenue because I wanted to give direct access to Marine Park and Marine Park JHS. Taking Avenue U is more feasible, I just wondered if doing that would cause a loss of passengers in the Avenue T section. I do not use the (B2) or (B100), so that idea comes from the routes looking very similar, and easy to combine with a save for the bureaucracy that is the . I don't have much to say about the area westbound past the subway station, probably because I just don't know what's or who's there to serve with buses. There is a big hole in that area with no buses, and I do wonder why, but I never researched that area. I feel like there should be a crosstown route there, but I don't know why.
  13. I have one idea for the (B2) and (B100), and I hope I'm not saying something that has been discussed before. I think that when MTA Bus and NYCT get combined (or before then), those routes should be combined together into a route that operates between Kings Highway ( and Mill Basin. It would run via the current B2 from Kings Highway Station to Gerritsen Av, then using Fillmore Avenue to get to East 36th Street instead of Avenue R. Then buses will turn on Avenue U for the Kings Plaza stop at the side of the mall. It can then use East 54th/55th Streets and Avenue T to get to Mill Avenue, or use Avenue U to get to Mill Avenue, and operate via the current (B100) into Mill Basin. As for the B64, I think that route should run to Coney Island at least during the summer, to serve the beach/amusement goers. Here's a map of it: http://g.co/maps/degbs
  14. The & did have a small amount of burn testing done. When the R179 gets delivered, the is probably gonna get the R46's that are left, if any, and the R68's. That idea is based on everything St. Louis Car said. Peacemak3r, you are correct, the is based out of Coney Island yard.
  15. I actually love the R32's and as long as the RFW is still intact, I'll keep loving them, and wishing they ran on the .
  16. I've mentioned this before, yes the (B103) had a closed-door policy. Brokecrazy remembers it correctly... Canarsie bound buses - boarding allowed in Downtown Bklyn, before it got on the highway. I'm not so sure about boarding at the Junction, because I never boarded a bus towards that way until it became the . Downtown bound buses - boarding allowed between Canarsie and Church Av/East 5th St (before it got on the highway).
  17. Oh wow, sorry to hear the power went out, hope it comes back on soon Strain.
  18. Yes I am, but that could be a problem with my computer as well. My PC isn't up to median performance for Trainz anyways.
  19. Take your time with that route, it's too big for people to expect a finish soon. And what you have already done is significant based on the timeframe you've done it in. Also I have a question, Is it possible to edit the stations so that different colors can be used for each station? And if so, can I have your permission to do it and release it?
  20. I think Green Eggs n' Pelham didn't want to use those because of the measurements. Though if he could use them, I suggest using the "Subway 3rd rail cement 2" (or no 3rd rail - however it's built) for the stations themselves, and the Russian tunnels only (kit-bash to an extent). @ Green Eggs n' Pelham, thanks for the info, and putting me on the beta testing list.
  21. I'm not 100% understanding this, but when are you going to release the stations? I'm not trying to rush you, but it seems like they're done. Are you testing them or something? If so take your time. Also if & when you do beta testing for the stations and/or route, i'd like to help with the testing.
  22. @TrainzLover I know it's not necessarily for me to answer, but since I know - Yes, Green Eggs n' Pelham from here=acelejalde from the Trainz forums. Hope this helps.
  23. @Green Eggs n' Pelham - Thanks for the info. And the curved stations are for a route I'm working on.
  24. They're awesome, I definitely can't wait to use those stations, been working on a route in which those can come in handy. I have a question, if it's been answered, forgive me. If you have a curved station, can these be used to depict it? Like in Magicland's stations, the splines would chop into pieces when they curved. Will it do the same?
