I recall the DeKalb Avenue junction used to be at grade. They changed it to flying junctions. At Chambers Street, the at grade Manhattan Bridge tracks are no longer in service.
Same with Myrtle-Broadway...

The IRT also has the worst line designs of all three. Sharp curves that slow down trains are abundant. There are still useless tracks and switches from the long bygone era of short trains that decrease throughput. An at-grade junction slows down everything on the busiest line in Brooklyn.
That sounds just like the BMT....

Hence your nickname is INDman
You got that right... Nothing like a city owned subway.

Yeah you are correct about that. I kind of neglected that fact.
Since 1967, it's hard to really categorize a line on the B Div. like ( etc. as IND or BMT. While there still are some lines that you can do that to, IDing a line (Brighton, Fulton, etc.) as IND or BMT is the only way you can really label a line by it's former company.
I have always like the IND, it wasn't until I was in high school that I really ever used the BMT. To this day I usually don't use that BMT and I never really have a need for the IRT.

Also only one BMT line serves the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue Terminal, and that is the Broadway Line. The other line that serves Coney Island is the IND Sixth Avenue Line, and I just mentioned it. It's IND not BMT.
Wrong, the line south of Church Av is BMT, the Culver line was part of the 5th Av El. The ( and lines are BMT once they go south of Grand street and onto the Manhattan Bridge. The IND system only had two lines from Manhattan that served Brooklyn, the Fulton St subway and the Smith St line to Church Av.

That is not entirely true. IRT=Interborough Rapid Transit
"Rapid". Says nuf.
Actually it's very true. Look at all the tight turns on the BMT and IRT where trains have to crawl though the area. The IND was built for speed since it learned form the mistakes of the previous two companies.

Never mind, I got it.

You mean this?
Actually, the last time I saw 103 it looked better then that and that was after that photos was taken.

It's a shame what 103 looks like right now.

That is one ugly car....

Only the Redbirds and the R32-42 cars were ever reefed and that program is DONE due too the cars falling apart faster then expected on the ocean floor. Prior to the redbirds being reefed, all scrap cars were taken down to the docks and either scrapped there or floated to NJ for scrapping. The R44s will be trucked, one car a day out of 207th St. to NIMCO, just outside of Newark by truck.

You think they don't already know....

I'd take a photo of my room just to show how much crap I have, but there is too much stuff I don't want people to see.

Hah, you should see the other desk. I'm running out of room...and rapidly!
I just started getting N scale trains, I'm running out of shelfs to put them on.

Desktops come in real and virtual varieties.
Got enough tech sh!t there?

I actually only paid $230.00 for them so I got two of them... One is suade and the other is a brownish colour. They're Italian, but they're "last years'" stock, so they're supposedly "undesirable".
Even at that price, that's two pairs of boots for me. I don't even know where my dress shoes are and that reminds me I got to friend them for when I bar tend in the morning.

Online...
Since it was the last 46, I got them marked down from the original price of $415.00...
$415.00 for some shoes... If I had your money, I'd throw mine away.

I have seen even odder combinations of equipment before. While an R44 and an R46 can couple up, you risk rupturing the brake pipe on the R46 when you try and chagre up the train.

I wonder if it represents the interval of the train, e.g. the will be the 10:06 a.m. out of Lefferts Boulevard...I could be wrong.
That's what it was, the R68s were going to have ones like buses have under the front sign but that never happened. An idea I have heard of being floated around was that on the NTTs there would be a slot on the cab doors for C/R to put their badges.

I will only post pics. I will no longer participate in discussions there.
So how many times have you "quit" posting on this site and Subchat because people downt agree with you?

Anybody here has Black Ops for the Wii?
They even have that for Wii?

Well, ironic I see you hanging around TA members and have such an expanse of knowledge of the SMEE fleet, all but 20% of which is gone, and the subway's infrastructure, and yet have no official job in RTO.
Same goes for SubwayGuy. "Oh, I took the O/C conductor's test and I'm going to be a conductor." You have a better chance of Pac and Biggie rising from the dead and releasing a mixtape, then dying again.
Go ahead, run to Harry with your butthurt and see if I give a damn.
Who said I was running to Harry or anyone else for that matter? also, I'm still in college so of course i don't have a job with the TA that's why this is a hobby. I know so much because it's something I find interesting. Plus, what are you doing with your life that so grand? I'm going to guess absolutely nothing, but that's not my problem.

Which do you favor? IND, BMT, or the IRT?

It's the only instance left on the BMT, all the others were rebuilt after the city took over.
