  1. Hi CaseyStengel! I've been fine, thank you for asking! :)

I've been diagnosed as Schizoaffective Disorder, Bi-Polar Type and also OCD but wonderful news: They're treatable and manageable with medication. To that effect, I've been started on Abilify 0.5 mg plus treatment. Good to know that I'll have a real, actual life..

Looks like the New York City Metropolitan Area survived Hurricane Irene. God Bless! I was a little concerned for my Cousin in Islip Terrace and my Cousins in Woodside ( they're between the (J)/(Z) and (A) subway lines). I think Mayor Bloomberg made a good decision in shutting down the transit system. He went by on what was forcast, predicted.

Have a wonderful day! 70(EE) (aka Paul)

  2. Hi Urbanfortitude! God Bless You! That means so much to me. You know, I accept blame for letting this get to the point that there nearly was no tomorrow but I'm also finding out that Depression and, even Anxiety, can cause a person to not be able to ask for help and admit that that they're troubled. It's only been a short time (Thursday April 7th-Friday July 22d), but already a difference. Tucson has given me a new life and I'm enjoying sharing my observations and expierences (especially Sun Tran ones), and where appropiate my memories of buses and subways when I was growing up in Jersey City. Apparently my illness quietly began in the early 1980's and simply grew until 2011.

    Enjoy your day today,

  4. Hi jimmy7train! You're welcome! I'm happy you enjoy the history of the New York City subway! That's excellent.

At nycsubway.org, there's a beautiful scan of an authentic 1972 subway map, including the subway service guide you might be interested in.

Check out the service and the colors we had when I was a nine year old boy and interested in trains.

  5. Hi jimmy7train! Why, thank you very much! That's how the 70(EE) (1967-1976) would've looked on the map from 1979-1985!

70(EE) 71st Avenue-Continental Avenue to Whitehall Weekdays Normal Hours (in those days "Normal Hours" corresponded to 6am to 8pm, approximately).

    Thanks,

  6. Hi SI Subway! Disappointed? Nah, life is too short! Also, it is indeed, the Washington Nationals (or Nats). From 1969 through 2004, they were the Montreal Expos.

Are you surprised by the early success of the Pittsburgh Pirates (46-42; 22-21 at home)?

  7. Hi SI Subway! I added you to my contacts here at NYC Transit Forums because I enjoy your posts and I thought you might be a good internet friend. We've a good community and I'm happy you're an active part of it.

  9. Hi LRG! Here is a new classic subway route bullet I thought you might enjoy. The red on this bullet looks nice. HH67.gif.

I'm typing this as I enjoy your YouTube Video. Is very nice.

    Have a wonderful day.

  10. Hi GojiMet86! How have you been? Did you see the thread in the Off Topic Lounge that the Mets and Citi Field have won the 2013 All-Star Game? This will be the first All-Star Game the Mets have hosted since 1964.

  12. Hi Good Evening, ABQ RIDE! How (R) ya? I'm "next door" in Phoenix, Arizona. How is it like in Albuquerque? Except for the summer, it's not too bad in Arizona though I still miss New York and New Jersey from time to time. I just wanted to say hello and say welcome to NYC Transit Forums.

    Have a wonderful day!

  13. Hi R32s! Happy New Year! I've been fine! How have you and Jun been?

Last month, just after Christmas, we received a tiny bit of snow here in the Metropolitan Phoenix area (mostly snow flurries and wind) and for about three or four days it was in the upper forties and lower fifties. Saturday morning of that week there was frost and ice.

    Work is going ok.

    Have a wonderful day!

  14. Hi! I think the logic behind that was the cost of producing the Single Ride MetroCards vs. their purchase. Plus I think the M.T.A. figures riders who purchase a regular PPR put at least $4.50 on it (two rides).

    70(EE)

  15. Hi! lol No, if you purchase a regular PPR MetroCard and only put $2.25 on it you're good for one ride. You just have to refill it to get home or take more rides.

    70(EE)

  16. Hi! I thought so myself. It turns out the Single Ride MetroCard (that flimsy paper-like MetroCard good for only one ride in either direction) went up to $2.50. Bus and subway fare stayed at $2.25.

  17. Hi! Welcome back, Curake79! How've you been?

  18. Hi! What would happen if more members started typing posts and replies in different fonts and colors and started adding a title to each of their replies?

  19. Hi! May I ask why you're upset with Jabroni? Who is this new member?

    70(EE)

  20. Hi LRG, Since you asked this morning, Princess Corina is a co-worker I like. She is cute (exotic looks, actually), petite, attends church, has a beautiful singing voice, is funny, and overall a nice person. She is available (I think). At present, we chat and flirt a little.

    Have A Wonderful Day,

  21. Hi! I see what you did! I like your colors!

  22. Hi! I'm not sure....... I see Harry, Zach, and East New York are getting a little upset, and I've never seen as many threads locked. Seems like a little of Subchat (I hope not).

  23. Nice video of the R110 sign and (V) train sign on You Tube!

  24. Hi ConeyIslandav7! That was quick! Thank you very much! Your sign is very nice looking!

The (HH) was the first designation for Rockaway Park service and that bullet was used between 1967 and 1979.

Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

  25. Hi NX Express! I like your avatar! I found this beautiful official 1974 subway map and station guide online. Scans show the cover, 1974 Subway Service Guide, Full Map, Manhattan and Brooklyn. I was 11 that year and this was my second subway map. Brings back memories.

Have a wonderful day and enjoy!
