  1. Hello (NX) Express! How've you been?

  2. Hi Anthony, How've you been? How are you enoying Puerto Rico?

  3. Hi freshpondroadstation! Also on October 27th: in 1972, Mayor John V. Lindsay and Governor Nelson Rockerfeller broke ground at East 103d Street and Second Avenue for the Second Avenue Subway. Unfortunately, the fiscal crisis hit in 1975 under Mayor Abraham Beame and the SAS was left out of the Capital Budget in 1976. Only four sections under construction were completed. Two of the completed sections are East 99th to East 105th Streets and East 110th to East 120th Streets. There is also a section from Canal to Pell Streets. The fourth section, which may not be entirely complete is East 2d to East 9th Streets. 70(EE)

  4. Hi! As a NJT route, how is the #553 Bridgeton and does it pass through any scenic areas of Southern New Jersey?

    Thanks, 70(EE)

  5. Hi! How are you? The other day at work, I received a $2 Canadian coin (a Toonie, I think they are called) in payment for an order. The customer thought it was a strange new American quarter. I collect Canadian coins, so I bought it for a quarter (so my drawer wouldn't come up short). First time I have seen this interesting Canadian coin. It has a copper color outer circle and a silver color inner circle with Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and a bear on the reverse. It's the highest denomination Canadian coin I've ever found at work. I have a couple of $1 Loonies and a couple of the older $1 coins and one or two 50 cent coins (I understand they are as rare as our own half-dollar), but 25 cents had been the highest denomination coin I had found until this $2 coin. A very nice addition.

    Have a wonderful day,

  6. Hi! Greetings from a native and former Jersey Citian! What part of Jersey City are you in, if you don't mind. I was in the Heights.

  7. Hey Q89LCL. At the bottom of edit signature, there is a place to enter a link to upload a small image or a subway sign. Good to see you here!

  8. Thanks for the heads up, Pablo. Red & Tan's website shows $1.45 as Route 4's fare. Little ones shorter than the farebox ride free. 70(EE)

  9. Pablo: I found this interesting music video featuring Jersey City while searching for Jersey City videos. Looks like Jewett Avenue on both sides of Monticello Avenue and looks like a NJT #87 bus passing on Monticello. Jewett Avenue music video:

. Not sure if the music is appropriate for everyone, so didn't want to post this in Off Topic. Have a wonderful day and weekend. 70(EE)
  10. Unfortunately in the crime, an iPhone Application, Grinder, was used to arrange the blind date. My intent is posting the CBS 5 news story is that a person needs to be careful when using cell phone applications or the internet to arrange friendship, blind dates or sex. Craig'slist seems to be a good example. 70(EE)

  11. Hi! Check out how cute these Nabisco cookie snap packages were (and the cookies were good, too): http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k130/hemi_392_dragster/snaps-702996.jpg

IIRC, the Nabisco Lemon Snaps box was similiar, except for a yellow area. These and the Nabisco Ginger Snaps had a string that you could carry the boxes. They went well with Chocolate or Strawberry Yoo Hoo. :)

  12. Hi! Look how cute these cookie packages were: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k130/hemi_392_dragster/snaps-702996.jpg . IIRC, the Nabisco Lemon Snaps package was the same, only a yellow area. I miss these!

And here is one of Nabisco Vanilla Snaps: http://www.theimaginaryworld.com/milkoo63.jpg

  13. Hi! Kamen Rider, if you're really Metropod from Subchat, I'd just like to let you know: I was wrong about you (at Subchat) and that you seem like a nice person. I enjoy reading your posts here at NYC Transit Forums. 70(EE)

  14. Hi! I believe Knightrider 3099 knew or knew of the College Point Bus Depot security guard and/or the B/O mentioned in the news article, CPBO. While I won't criticize since he is no longer with us, I tend to agree it is not good to try to cross a road like the Whitestone Expressway.

  15. And they were supposed to be sleeping. :P

  16. Oh, hi R32s! :) How (R) ya? How has Jun been?

  17. The Sullivan Law (or The Sullivan Act) is New York's controversial gun control law. Not only does it regulate guns, it regulates daggers, knives and razors. Named for its' sponser, State Senator Timothy Sullivan, it has been in force since 1911. For handguns, The Sullivan Law is a may issue law, meaning police departments in New York City and Upstate have the discretion to issue permits. Very tough to obtain one in the five boroughs.

  18. Hi metsfan, Did you ever hear about The Sullivan Law?

  19. Hi! The reborn (9) West 242d Street to New Lots Avenue and the (1) West 242d Street to 14th Street this summer (Maybe): http://www.subchat.com/read.asp?Id=922459

If true, the (3) would run 148th Street to 14th Street also. 70(EE)

  20. Hi! (9) West 242d Street to New Lots Avenue and (1) West 242d Street to 14th Street this summer (maybe): http://www.subchat.com/read/read.asp?Id=922459

If this is true, (3) 148th Street to 14th Street also. 70(EE)

  21. I think I understand a little now: http://www.subchat.com/read.asp?Id=922173

Some threads should be secret. (MTA)

  22. mark1447, At Subchat.com, the 2010 Nostalgia Train thread appears to not be secret and is available to post in. (MTA) 70EE

  23. Hi lrg5784, A small computer question. The Enter key allows me to make neat paragraphs. Is there a special button I press to make neat colunms of more than single space? Also, what is the FN button for?

    Thanks much,

    70(EE)
