  1. Curious: what was the final day of service for the 1860-2039 batch of MCIs? Read on TTMG that as of Tuesday, that entire batch has been withdrawn from service. (1894 survives as a training bus at Zerega.)
  2. Yes, 315---it was on Run 36 on the Q35 on Thursday; I was surprised at that sight too. Gleason was supposed to re-start at 320. Also, 5839 is now at Quill.
  3. 308 at West Farms, 5840 at Quill, 5817 at West Farms, and 315 at Gleason.
  4. 9829 is now at Spring Creek and has been re-labeled to MTA Bus. 9911, however, is still marked New York City Bus (but with Spring Creek stickers).
  5. Not sure about 5825, but 5827 just came in tonight. WF is less than half-way in receiving its buses; delivery has actually slowed down a bit.
  6. The remaining 3900s and 4000s (and possibly 3999 from Charleston) should head to Fresh Pond...then the 4200s and 4431 should head to Charleston or Yukon, but I could see 4431 going to Charleston to replace 3999. CAS should be losing all of its hybrids, however.
  7. I think that FP may be waiting on CAS' Xcelsiors. BTW, as for the number of 1000-series D60s, that is 15 or less remaining.
  8. 9244 is now at JFK Depot; I spotted it on the Q7 tonight. Also, if not already noted, 286 is in at WF; I shot it today.
  9. To me, it would make the most sense to move 4315-4329 to Charleston to keep that fleet at one garage to save maintenance money, just as 2210-2228 will eventually all be at Castleton. Meredith can have older buses because it is a part-time operation. Castleton has the X10 full-time and the X14 part-time. 2400, BTW, went to Yukon.
  10. I wonder if that is why 230 and 232 are at Gleason - so that Gleason can make score. But I don't think that any Gleason O5s are at Mitchel Field.
  11. 6493 would be a Fresh Pond bus...do you mean 6394 or 6403? BTW, also on loan to Spring Creek---3513, 6848 and 6856. BTW, B17EastNewYorkDepot---you mean 6847---6487 is a Queens Village bus.
  12. Not sure if it has been noted, but 714 is now at Spring Creek again.
  13. For a headscratcher: 8766, which had been at LaGuardia, is now assigned to East New York and was on the B82 today.
  14. The C40LFs at Spring Creek will be like shooting fish in a barrel if they come out. The B103 is my home route.
  15. Allerton Avenue on the and shift Gun Hill Road to the north side of Gun Hill Road to also serve Eastchester Road on the are all that to me should be done.
  16. I wonder if Transit Windsor (in Windsor, ON, just outside Detroit) still running that bus (it was running as of July 2008, but it would now be 22 years old). Deliveries of artics. The remans and almost all of the 1986 GMCs at 126 (buses 4508-4553) were also retired because of artic deliveries.
  17. 9339 (and 9331) were at Manhattanville before coming to East New York. 9334 is long gone, and I don't remember seeing 9334 ever at ENY (I did shoot it on the M34 in its final days).
  18. More recent...and it was just 2 years ago that these cars left service for good. First time that I photographed a car class on its final day.
  19. Mitchel Field has lost its MCIs - most are heading to Castleton.
  20. That's odd---I saw it deadheading on 34th Street that same day.
  21. Current rappers should be forced to listen to this and Run-DMC! And I'm also listening to some good hip hop...from 1982.
  22. The rush-hour service demands. Outside of rush hours, the Bx23 only needs 2 buses at any one time.
