  1. That makes two of us. I'm also waiting to see one besides the initial one that I spotted on the Q77 Wednesday. I'm a tad skeptical as to how the Q3 and Q17 will handle these buses. seeing as how the Next Generation Hybrids can seat more people that the LFS can. The LFS is superior with the standing room, however. So, wait, are these moves supposed to be finished by the time the fall pick goes into effect tomorrow? If so, then the MTA needs to get on the ball and fast!!!
  2. Don't know about ENY, But GA has at least 10 V's now. 6297-6298 are now at Grand. Also, does anyone know which depot the new B32 will run out of? If it is grand avenue, wouldn't that require extra buses, thus possibly allowing GA to receive a little over twenty Orion V's?
  3. If so, then that makes a minimum of two that are at the depot as 8049 was on the Q77 as I aforementioned.
  4. So is that what's happening? A three way swap bt. Fp, ga, and yukon?
  5. Alsoo saw 8049 on the q77: tbh it was weird seeing it on that route in jamaica Today.
  6. 4526 is on the b38 ltd with fp decals. I caught 6169 on the local b38 (GA)..
  7. They are back. I am also thinking that the Orion Vs that are at Gleason are being held for Grand Avenue. My only complaint is that Grand Avenue will not be receiving more than just 20 measly old Orion Vs. With my luck, its going to be hard as hell to catch them on any route, especially the B47 and B57. So has it been confirmed what NGs will be coming over to Queens Village and which numbers of the lfs' are coming over to jamaica?
  8. I have a small theory. What if the Orion V's that are at Gleason are there to help get them ready for revenue service at Maspeth? That would surely be convenient, instead of transporting these buses all the way to North Brooklyn from Staten Island. Btw, got on 6292 Sunday. It felt hella weird catching it on something that wasn't a Q44Ltd or a Q76. Weird in a great way.
  9. Am I the only one that seems excited that the Orion V's are going into revenue service at Grand Avenue? I do think that it could be a little more fair in terms of a swap. For example, in addition to swapping out some of the ng's, GA should also give away some of their 9400s that they have. Either way, its a start to what's hopefully a more diverse fleet for the sophomore bus depot.
  10. Maybe it's just me, but it always seemed totally stupid on the TA's part to send all 90 of ny bus to one depot. It was equally stupid to send the same three depots 30 of each new bus type before distributing them to their assigned borough. splitting the LFS' 45 and 45 between JaMaica and Queens Villge makes the most sense in the long run. I mean, it works for Bklyn, so it should work for Queens as well. I know i can't wait to see the 8xxxs appear on the Q17 and Q85 routes!!!!!!
  11. it all makes sense now. If everyone is preparing for the fall pick, then it explains the Orion v,s coming to Maspeth, the ng's going to QV, AND THE LFS' GOING TO JAM. Something tells me that this is going to be an interesting fall pick on all accounts.
  12. Several things. First, 6338 was spotted on the B38 today along with 6097 on the B57. Second, is t he info regarding the swap between Jamaica and queens village been confirmed or is it just rumorsville at this point?
  13. I didn't hear that rumor, but I sincerely hope that's the truth. For me, a nostalgic rail an, the best part of what's been going on with the Broadway Local is that the MTA has switched cars between the F and R lines. As a teen a few years back, I used to love the r46s on the Culver Line. Also still lovin' the swaps between the C and J Lines. I'll be one sad son of a b*tch when the summer ends.
  14. Ditto!!!! So far I have had no trouble catching either or. Also R42 on the J. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Was it true what I read a few pages ago that 6798 is at Flatbush Depot? Also, does anyone know if Grand Avenue still have those 05s that they had to fix or did they return to their "appropriate" depots? Another question, why did Gleason lose 320-324 to WF? First they lost 260-265, and now they lost they are losing their 300s. JG is short, for Goodness Sakes!!!!
  16. What I can't seem to understand is what will Gleason get if these old buses retire? Wouldn't the depot be short a few without those 16 buses?
  17. So has the B44 been completely converted to Articulated or is it still a mixture between 40 fters and 60 fters? Also is FR open again? I ask because the Q35 has hybrids with the FR decals en route along Flatbush Avenue.
  18. Has anyone been lucky as to catch any of the #9300s that are at GA? I have only seen 9352 and that is not a new addition to the depot. I love the GA Depot so I am interested to see these ex-Flatbush buses run out of Grand Avenue.
  19. I was too far away, but I saw an NG at Spring Creek Towers. I think it read 'Training Bus'. Perhaps Eny is getting NGs again?
  20. I caught 6621 on the M7 tonight. As someone from Brooklyn, it felt weird not catching this bus in ENY. I Recall catcging it on the B42 years back. Oh, well, those were the days.
  21. I was also hoping that either some ofthe 6500s or some of those 88xxs (both from/at ENY) WOULD DEPART ENY ALONG WITH THE EXITING B7. Does anyone else support those returns to Fresh Pond? I am excited awaiting the arrival of the NG on the B7. Who else agrees? I will also miss seeing the xds on that route.
  22. I personally don't understand why ENY couldn't just collect the XDs from SI. Why was it necessary to incorporate Ulmer Park in this swap. Also 4966 was at Kings Plaza yesterday.
  23. Yeah they been gone for a while now... Those aging RTS' are their initial replacement, and I love that!!!!
