Random Thoughts Thread - Suffolk County Transit

I see what you're saying and you're correct about the service. How most passengers (if not all) get off around the County Center. I agree with you on the S92 being split. Service would be MUCH reliable along the South Fork.
  2. I just checked the MTA website (Staten Island) and I still see the "X" schedules...even after I refreshed it. Can someone send a different link?

The ridership traveling between both forks. Again, I was very surprised as I have seen the number of riders traveling between both forks. I thought the same with MANY riders dropping out at Riverhead. Most people (must be during different times of the day) go through Riverhead and start dropping off at Jamesport and Aquebogue.

??? Bro, I never said you were saying to eliminate the North Fork portion. My apologizes if you thought otherwise. All I was saying was that within the last few years, that North Fork ridership (which is STILL a surprise to me) has slightly increased...the South Fork has more ridership...yes I agree. IF Suffolk Transit were to eliminate that portion of the S92, then heads would roll.

Not really. Maybe not as much as the South Fork but there is ridership (which I'm VERY surprised) on the North Fork. Enough ridership where if Suffolk Transit were to eliminate the North Fork portion...heads would roll.

Proposed South Fork Bus Changes (Hearing)

Should have the 10C serve Pantigo as well. That's just my opinion.

Remembering the S94 (East Hampton/Montauk Fanning)

The 10C still serves the Montauk Lighthhouse...during the summer months. Otherwise the 10C serves Montauk Village north and east of the village too.

#7487 was on the Q5 this morning heading towards Green Acres. Spotted this on Archer Av near Merrick Blvd. Was on the Q44 +++SELECT BUS SERVICE+++ going the other direction so could not get a good picture...sorry.

Ok. So I saw #8733...former Lakeland bus NOW with Coach USA...Rockland Coaches? Saw this bus coming don the ramp at the PABT heading into the Lincoln Tunnel. The bus ALL white except for the front, which told me it was Coach USA. Can anyone confirm the 8700s from Lakeland Bus Lines as well as 8400s from DeCamp Bus Lines? Are they all (except 8733) scrapped?

What are you talking about? Was this in response to "East New York's" last post?
