  1. Thanks Harry! Been looking for this since forever! By any chance is the reverse side available?
  2. This is true, but only to an extent. Of course every rider (discluding railfanners) will ride the first train they see. As for the instances in which you see passengers purposely avoiding one train just to ride another, I'm willing to bet that occurs only when special circumstances such as stench, rowdy passengers, skip stop service, poor A/C, ect. occurs. However, you must be downright stupid to not prefer an NTT or a 75 footer over a 60ft SMEE generation train. There is simply no reason as to why a person wouldn't prefer to see an NTT. If one comes by, then its a bonus. If a SMEE pulls up, oh well. However, you must acknowledge the fact that people prefer NEW things. It is the extent to which we are willing to give up commuter time which is in question, and in the majority of cases, the answer is NO, but to blantly say that people don't care at all if an NTT pulls up is false though.
  3. I'm not expert in terms of train car maintanance or any statistical data associated with the fleet, but what makes you think that 62As can handle the line any better than 142As? As far as I'm concerned, it's a signficant, but necessary downgrade because the 142As and all of the other NTTs allow for better passenger flow because the doors are wider as they are constructed architectually to allow for increased passenger flow. It seems to me you're just blatantly bashing NTTs for no apparent reason. Westchester Yard is Westchester Yard. What makes you think they won't run the well maintained Flushing cars to the ground as well.
  4. Damnnnnn lol. That is some quality right there! Great job!
  5. Well the chime certainly does help, and there are blind people who ride the subway.
  6. I'm foaming over that nice and shiny 68 lol.
  7. Nice job, both B and Green Eggs. Goes quiet for about a week, then we get hit with two great pieces of news, the R142 and the inclusion of the and the !
  8. By the way, are you using a DEM? I'm sure that building would be much easier if you had a DEM to build off of.
  9. I haven't been following this thread too closely, but could someone inform me on what happened to the subway tracks that you guys made before? Is there a reason why the Russian tracks are used instead of the default track that you guys used?
  10. Some scenic stuff would be nice. Trainz is lacking in signal houses and towers, and we all know there are a whole bunch of those on the els.
  11. The looks amazing! By the way, to get rid of that nasty glare on the 62, set the poly count higher.
  12. Very creative Strain, doing the LTA stations! Maybe you could end up doing the entire LTA system! Nice job Green Eggs!
  13. The stations and the track look amazing! I can't wait to develop on this!
  14. First off, I would like to say that the content you are making is a blessing for Trainz developers who enjoy and will look forward to all of you and BStyle's current and future content. You guys have made state of the art content which rivals jeffmorris and Magicland's in all sorts of ways and I am looking forward to the entire and completed elevated and underground construction sets as well as other things that you are also developing. You have changed and brought a new life to the community with your content and screenshots. However, I believe that there are a few things that I would like to clear and discuss. @Bstyles, Nope I did not realize that the placement of benches on your splines required that much time and effort. I genuinely believe that you guys have devoted numerous hours of labor into this, and I truely appreciate what you are doing. However, I believe that you have confused the terms nitpicking and constructive criticism. I have read through all of the comments in this thread and I have found nothing which poses a direct reference or any sort of hint which referred to your content as terrible or in need of a major rehab. Everything that was critical was merely analytical and suggestions which were trivial which could be taken into account or not with no hard feelings. I merely suggested that the placement of benches be separate from the spline. This was something that I just wanted to point out, and I had no idea that you were already working on a solution to that. With that out of the way, I would like to talk to you about your response to this. What you said in your last comment about "pulling another Magicland" was an asinine move for yourself. You might have just had a bad day or something, but saying things like that gives you a negative image from the community and it makes us believe it was an statement about you threatening to pull your content at the next post of friendly criticism or something similar to that, when members are genuinely trying to help you to create the most efficient and most visually pleasing content in the NYCTA Trainz community. Plus, we would have no problem whatsoever if you reject these requests as we understand that they are time consuming and more of a trivial thing. With that out of the way, I hope you can understand what our intentions really are, and that they are merely beneficial.
  15. Nice job! By the way Green Eggs, sorry if I'm just noticing this now, but is it possible to remove the stairs and the benches from the splines? It wouldn't make sense to have a bench so often in a subway station here. They can be made as separate objects so the person could just place them down wherever they want with rotation ect.
  16. Never mind, I found out a way to re-create the desired effect. Just select the normal elevated with 3rd rail track with handrails on both sides. When you lay down the track next to the elevated station, the station will cover the handrail!
  17. BStyles you're missing a track piece. For the elevated track with 3rd rail and handrails on one side, you need to make another piece which has the third rail on the opposite side. If you make an elevated island station with the track on the right side, the third rail is facing the platform, and that's not good is it.
  18. Everything looks top notch! Nice to see that the pillars are fixed! By the way, if you need a picture or a reference point for the station signs with the subway maps on them, I'll try to take one asap.
  19. Those tracks look crazy! And nice progress on those stations. Might be the angle but the beams look too thick.
  20. 23rd looks good, but is it possible for you to texturize the station? It would look a lot more realistic and would save you more work individually coloring it in.
  21. By the way, is it possible to add an elevated track-less trestle spline. That way we can make abandoned tracks in case someone ever does the , , and other lines with abandoned trackage.
  22. No problem! We should be thanking you for your contributions to the Trainz community! Only problem I see with using triggers as signals is that they wouldn't technically be signals, but animated objects. But maybe some experimentation and coding could change that! By the way, sorry if this was answered before, but will there be left side signals as well? Magicland's old set never featured left sided signals (although some were named that). They would be great to have in stations where the platform exists on the right side. And as for the speed limit things, maybe you could add speed limit signs onto the construction pack once the tunnels are done and make them the correct length and height which suits the tunnel!
  23. To simulate timers, couldn't you use trigger points, so that the signal would stay at yellow with the S, and then change once the train passes through the trigger. All you have to do is align the timers with the triggers, and there are many things out there that utilize the trigger points to initiate something.
  24. Green, if it's not too late, you could use some of these as under river tunnels: http://metrorus.ru/ Just look for the subway tunnels and download them off the Russian site. (You gotta enter in the code, then wait on that screen until it starts downloading.) Props for 2trainmaster for giving me the link.
